    Ron Artest is an idiot, it is offcial and hopefully Kobe will respond to it that way.

    I am just done with this guy. How about STFU and play basketball? Because so far Mr. Artest you haven't done ANYTHING in this series expect for jacking up dumb 3s.

    Really, he is an idiot. Hopefully he will be gone after next year.

    I wonder how his teammates deal with such nonsense daily.

    imo, Atest is overated!!!!
    He is the same level as PP, Lbron? Are you kidding?
    A player shooting 36% in playoffs think another 30+20 player is overated, funny!!!

    What has he done? Maybe his defense sometimes helps but on offense he is pretty much useless. Maybe it is also coach's fault for not using him the right way but he doesn't drive to the rim at all and I am sick of his bad 3s.

    Ron vs Kobe head to head stats!
    --------------------------------------------

    Ron/Kobe

    Points=19.0/29.8
    FG%=45.7/44.9
    Rebounds=5.7/5.9
    Assists=3.6/5.1
    Steals=2.0/1.6
    TECHNICALS=4/16 (VERY telling stat...)

    What worries me most is Yaos P&R defense. You can contribute a large chunk of Brandon Roy to that. The Lakers do not use quite as many pick and rolls plus Pau and Lamar are not as deadly as LA from range so we can sag off them a little bit more I think. Celtics defense in the finals needs to be our blueprint if we want to win...

    If we get to second round, Kobe is going to kill us. Even harder than before.

    I reckon Roy will be the best PG in the near future.

    MAN NBA VIDEO is blocked in Hong Kong.....

    I dun think what Ron said would do much harm to our chances of winning against LA honestly. It's not like we got a good chance against them in the first place anyways. So any trash talk would not necessarily derail our chances.

    On the other hand, if we successfully ignite a one-on-one kobe for much of the series, then our chances improve. So I think what Artest said would not matter much and Kobe might simply laugh at it.

    Yup, I know what you mean.

    There are a few problems I think.

    1. We are missing a perimeter playmaker, so that responsibility falls on Ron, And that is NOT why Ron is valuable. Ron SHOULD be negated to inverse offense post-ups, open 3's and defense. The problem is that we simple do not have enough perimeter talent nor the luxury of putting Ron in his ideal situation. We really could use a healthy Tracy...Or any other 23 million dollar perimeter player...

    2. As much as Ron struggles on the perimeter, Aaron Brooks is worse(at this point), and Battier is even worse, which is fine, If you have a playmaker on the court, which we do not...

    3. So, when the offense does not work, I paraphrase Battier, "We throw the ball to Ron and say, Bail us out!." For the most part I think Ron has made some decent passes and he made some great ones to Shane the other night, but it is trying to put a square peg in a round hole...

    Easy fixes?

    We either need a new playmaking PG or another superior scoring threat from THE PERIMETER. (Second option which moves Ron a notch down to focus on defense)

    More inverted plays where Yao is the creater from the high post.(Put Rons ass on the block)

    And for fun, Tracy and Ron head to head stats!

    Ronald/Tracy
    -------------------------

    PPG-19/25
    FG%-46/43
    3P%-39/32
    RPG-6/5
    Asts-4/6
    Stls-2/1
    T/O-2/3

    You are right. We need a player like T-Mac, he would have helped Ron a lot.

    But earlier in the season they had time to play together end our offense looked even worse than horrible when they both were on the court. I guess it was because they both were injured.

    I understand Aaron is not a playmaker but if I ad to choose who would have the ball down the stretch in his hands, I'd shoose Aaron. Ron just can't dribble the ball.

    Again, prople seem to always overate Ron on the low block. I mean, this guy is horrible. He has no speed and the only thing he has is his strength. But really, he is overrated on the low post.

    Why not drive to the basket? When you are 1/5 from long range you should think before attepmting another 3, Ron ain't Ray Allen. Just drive, it can really help this team.

    Been telling people there wont be any Artest "brings it" for the playoffs stuff. Those shooting %s are his CAREER playoff averages. Artest isnt dynamic enough offensively to raise his game against tightened playoff defenses.

    Batum is a starter by title only. He technically gets benched every game after 4 minutes.

    Yeah I don't think we ever saw the REAL Tracy and Ron.
    We saw flashes against Dallas and a couple other teams...

    I think they need to get Ron the ball at about midpost. He is very dangerous when he can either get to the hoop with 1 dribble, or shoot the jumper going left. He used to KILL us when he was in Sac because that was his spot. Shane and Tracy just simply could not guard him. With Scola and Yao, I think that spot has too much traffic. I am glad he has expanded his game to the 3-pt line this year though, because that will help us next year if we can get everyone healthy...

    (He needs more OPEN shots so therefore we need a creater to get the ball OUT of his hands. As a finisher though, I love his tough lay-ups and open 3 pointers. I think that could be a perfect compliment to Yao, even if we get him into a 6th man role next year)

    If Kobe gets mad and tries to do all the Lakers, scoring and gets into a duel with Artest. That will only favor the Rockets in a seven game series. Usually when Kobe scores a lot his team loses. He usually tries to facilitate in the first half to get his teammates going and then trys to take over in the second half.

    I can't seem to grasp why Artest makes the comments he does about the best players in the league. He basically gave Roy more confidence by saying he is the best player in the league he has played against (over Kobe and Lebron). On the other hand, he is pissing off Kobe by saying Roy is a superior player. Now Kobe has something to prove. We're screwed both ways. LOL.

    Typical Ron Artest trash talk.

    Don't get too excited about it, he does this all the time...

    You guys are taking this way too serious.

    Ron is a comedian who likes to speak in hyperbole, everything he says should be taken with a grain of salt.
