nobody gets seriously injured till they come to houston. what's going on with these doctors? they said ron can play on the ankle, now he has a stress reaction. seriously, where did these guys get their MDs from?
Something is wrong with our medical staff. If we find out Ron is out for the season tomorrow, I'm all for getting a new medical staff...
Ya, so da doctor said ron could play on that ankle and not make it worse, the doctor lied, the bad doctor!
if true, then this means our medical staff cannot be trusted under any condition. It only makes me even more worried that McGrady might actually be telling the truth about his knees. I know it is not the same thing but there too they say he can "play through it". Anyway, we will see...
Doesn't look like anything season ending or anything. Ron is on the bench and seems to be moving ok. Not crippled or anything. Perhas I am wrong.
As I'm sure someone has pointed out, this is a good week to miss if he's gotta miss a week. We have like one game in the next six days.
And to add to that, seriously, whoTF cares if the one game is the Fakers? It's still just one regular season game, and we're still at home with enough talent to beat them, and they have an injury or two, too, I think.
Maybe the organization doesn't want to take Von Wafer out of the starting lineup and are using this time to get the rest of the players healthy? DD
Just like I've said, never, ever believe team doctors. Always go and get a separate opinion when your body talks to you. I think the rox need to start looking around for another wing player asap. If the go into the playoffs or has to play a lot of this season without Artest, its a wrap.
What is a stress reaction? Is it similar to a stress fracture? I think we know what need to know about Ron Artest, he is a good teammate and leader and plays extremely hard. I know people dont want to hear this but I think we should let him have what ever season ending surgery he needs to have and extend his contract now. Last thing we need is Ron waiting till the end of this year and it effecting him next season.
If McGrady misses 20 games a year, Artest misses like 18. He's tough but isnt exactly an iron man himself. Let players rest until they get better. The whole football playing through injury to appear tough stuff just doesnt work in an 82 game basketball season
I just googled ankle stress reaction and it seems to go hand in hand with a stress fracture. Ronoldo Balkman had a similar injury and the results where not good. http://news.berecruited.com/2007/09/27/knicks-balkman-suffers-ankle-stress-reaction/ I really nope its not that bad for Ron.
