He just demanded to be traded.

Would you do Wesley+Head+protected #1 pick for Artest?

    LOL, yeah, but Indiana wouldn't.
Me thinks Artest would make us very solid contenders, but it'll never happen.

If the rumor about Artest-Peja is true, then the package I proposed doesn't look that bad. Peja is just an one dimensional player whose offensive game is getting worse everyday and he will be a FA next summer asking for a lot of money.

Head may turn out to be one of the best among the picks this year and he is available for cheap for next 4 years. Wesley comes off book next year, relieving Pacers from lux tax. Plus, our #1 pick most likely will be withing the top 20, something valuable.

Even if there were a chance we could get him, I'd say no way.

Did anyone actually read the article? Why would we want him? Bigger role on offense? Show himself off for a big contract? Carlisle is too oppressive? The rockets are the last team that should want him.

David Wesley and Moochie Norris for Ron Artest and Eddie Gill! Trade accepted!

    This would never happen.

    "Artest is Available"

We got nothing that they'd want outside of T-Mac or Yao.

We can use his defense and we can certainly use some help on offense too (hello, we crack 100 like once a month).

Just say NO to Artest. You think it's taking Swift a long time to learn his sets? Have you ever heard Artest speak?

Yao may be the only NBA player who isn't that interested in getting a big contract, yet he got one. It is business. Artest is just stupid to spell it out.

I think then the Pacers will entertain us..... :p

If getting Artest means saying goodbye to JVG, I would do it in a heartbeat. Artest is a beast. A three headed Tmac-Artest-Yao monster would terrorize the league.

But I dont see it happening, unfortunately.

Be quiet you rocket hater. tracy is the most talented player in the league. why trade a unbeliveble taltented player, for a less talented physico. i rather see yao get traded before . we have no real trade value to entice indy whatsoever.

Problem is we either gotta give up yao or tracy. tracy is going nowhere. that leaves us yao, while on face value artest is a better value, with yao gone, who'll start at center? if the throw in foster, i'll do a yao+ Wesely for artest and foster in a heart beat.

You say that after reading what R2K just posted? The guy is nuts! Yes, he is an amazing player, but he is destroying his team. Why do you think he would be different here? Even if JVG wasn't the coach?
