Now Novak is going to the Clippers. More than likely it will be to switch spots in the second round, possibly in next years draft. Good, bad, who cares? Who knows?

I guarantee you battier isn't going anywhere. What i really want to see is tmac at the point, and you can bet rick is going to experiment with that.
    tmac
    artest
    battier
    scola
    Yao

would pack some serious size and defense. Basically what LA is going to have next season. Rick is a master at tinkering lineups so i want to see how this all fairs out.

Oh my. You know we have this thing called a message board that has multiple topics, one in which is titled "[Chron] Rockets deal forward Novak to Clippers" don't you? It's not as if the people viewing this particular thread are excluded from the other threads, and you bring "news from the outside".

Now let's see, which thread should I talk about Novak to Clippers....

"Artest in....Keep Battier or trade to upgrade pg position?"
    -or-
"Rockets deal forward Novak to Clippers"

    Hmmm... Decisions, decisions

I guess you are right, though. You do have the absolute freedom to talk about whatever you want though. ;)

Horrible trade. You don't trade one of the best defensive wing players in the league and your starting point guard for Mo freaking Williams.

If he really is scheduled to possibly sign with the Spurs since he is an unrestricted free agent, why don't the Hornets do a sign and trade with the rockets for Hayes (2ys @ $1,768,000) and Head (1 yr @ $1,962,378) for a total of $3,730,378 salary for Pargo? We could offer Pargo that for two or three years totaling $7,500,000 to over $10,000,000. Is SA offering more than that?

I think Pargo is an excellant spark if coming off the bench, and has the potential to become more efficient even. He could compete with Rafer and Brooks at PG, which would move Steve to competing for minutes with Barry at the SG position, further strengthing our bench, since Head would now be gone.

Since Hayes would be gone, then Dorsey would become your 3rd PF behind Scola and Landry. And we could possibly then try to sign another back-up center like Elson for a contract that would fit in with our budget.

To me this makes a lot of sense to strengthen us while still keeping Battier and only giving up pieces that are expendable while still bettering the team overall. Man would we be deepppppppppppppppp at every position!

How do you determine how many miles per gallon a player gets?

just a stupid idea, but how about Sam-I-Am for one year deal? He's 38 but still coming off a productive year and would be crucial at the back up point. He would proven leadership and the know how to run the second team. What do yall think?

I think he can give some productive games but I'm not sure how he will do over an 82 game season.

Am I detecting signature jealousy on this forum? If some of you don't like it, just make a better one for yourselves. If you think it's too long, I am following the forum rules of how many characters, etc. are allowed in a signature. Why are you tripping?

I know there are a lot of negative people on here that want to just create arguments and belittle others because they have no life of their own outside of this forum that makes them feel worth anything, but honestly some of us just come here to share our ideas and exchange comments about the rockets whether we agree with them or not. Not to play petty childish silly games.

But to each their own...after all, it's a free world and a free speech forum; for the most part.

Relax...heard of a joke. I have no idea why you took it so personally. Your sig is ridiculously/comedically long. You should own that.

As for contributing members, I believe what they contribute is money.

My bad man....I need to brush up on my dry/sarcastic humor. :p Where is my check book? What is the MINIMAL amount I have to donate to be a contributing member? Do you think that will get my name change in to be spelled correctly since I messed that up on signing up?

Whoa, calm down fella. They were making a joke about the "mpg" thing. And If you put something up on a forum, including your sig, then your opening it up for possible debate which is one of the points of sites like this. Your also being very rude by your implication that older/more active posters "don't have a life" and then you talk about others being "childish"?

Should have read up before you replied, but nevertheless, I don't have a problem discussing my signature. As a matter of fact, it is there EXACTLY to be discussed. My point was about discussion and debate about ideas, agreed or disagreed doesn't matter; but insults and ridiculing is what a lot of people prefer to do instead of debate. But as I said, I am not trying to create new rules, just observing...it is a free speech forum.

Also, I don't recall implying that older/more active posters "don't have a life"...can you show me where you think I implied that please? I said :

Maybe you are connecting my previous comment to this one and assuming incorrectly, but my point is about negative people, whether they be contributing members, members, lurkers, rookies or whatever. I have no problem with anyone's comments regardless of what their status is, it is the content that I look to analyize.

Do us all a favor and quit making this thread about you, OK? I have to scroll through that stuff to find posts about the subject matter. Thanks in advance.
