what no Technical? Thought Ron would get one for scaring the Trailblazers. I think the Blazers bench wet their pants when Artest flexed.
Ron needs to flex his passing arms alot more when Yao is open, seriously the amount of times he passed up a pass for a horrible shot was killin me!!
I dont care if he had 9 assits the amount of terrible shots he took could have lost this game. How many friggin times was Yao open and had his arms free was rediculous.
Ron was hands down the BEST at getting the ball to Yao. We lose by 25 without him.... We get swept without him....
This is how the Rockets win. A warier leads men into battle through strength. There is no need for courage, cause he knows no fear. We don't need a former scoring champion, we never needed one in our entire history. We don't need Stephen A Smith's adulation. What we need is Wariers cause the playoffs are War. Wariers come out and playeeyay
Yea that was awesome seeing Artest doing that Hogan's flex. But he didn't go to the low post enough though. I want him to keep doing it like Yao is doing it. Stop taking jump shots when you just don't have it. Need to realize that and play a little bit smarter. Also when you're posting up....ask Yao to clear out a bit so you have room to operate inside.
You know those new where amazing happens videos? Nba.com has an inside shot of ron doing the move and the flex, someone should make a video like that with that footage!
I'm not trying to make excuses for Ron. 5 for 20 is 5 for 20. BUT, a lot of those shots were situations where plays would be going nowhere and people would just toss him the ball at the three point line with 5 seconds left on the shot clock and he'd have to do something with it. He did have 9 assists, he got two key steals in the fourth quarter, he always plays great defense, he's always playing hard, and the toughness that he brings, which has spread to the entire team throughout the season, is a big reason why we're not only in the playoffs without McGrady but in position to finally win a series. Analysts and the TNT crew describe the Rockets as physical and tough now. That is a huge difference from the past few years when the general consensus was that the Rockets were among the softest teams in the league.
Um, Ron did miss Yao a couple of times, but most of the time he made the right play. I'd just rather he took his shots off of catch and shoots. A couple of times he didnt shoot or he hesitated. He's better off the catch.
Ron Artest brings toughness to the Rockets! As guys have said before on forum, we got BALLZ..... now!
