Tmac and Ron but heads. If it were up to me I would really try to get Tmac out asap cause he just isn't a leader for this team. He's not one that will lead us to a championship for sure. He makes too many excuses, can't lead with example, and can't take the blame. What kind of superstar, franchise player is that?

If it were up to me I would try to trade Tmac and maybe Landry for Amare cause I see more I better things in Wafer than him right now.

    Line-up should be:
    Rafer
    Wafer
    Ron
    Amare
    Yao

I do not think he is a good choice, the second line-up of the center is what we need to get, and I believe bidlins or David Lee would be the best supplement rocket

Lee could also play some minutes at the 4 even though he doesn't have a jumper, but it's going to be hard to obtain him.

I think we all have to come to the realization that he may not be able to do much more than what we have seen from him over the last few days.

Here's all Artest said. Reading it, it doesn't sound like he's singling him out like I thought.

“As a team, and then Tracy has to step it up on defense, too,” Artest said after Friday’s practice and film session. “He’s very inconsistent on defense, so he has to get better. I’m sure he’ll get better with his knee getting more healthy. This was the best I’ve seen him, today.

“It’s going to start with Tracy. It’s going to start with guys like Michael Jordan, Kobe (Bryant), LeBron (James). When I was in Sacramento, it started with me. It will start with your leaders. It will start with him, and also Yao (Ming). Then it filters down to the other guys.”[/RQUOTER]

Ron sees the season going down the tubes because Tmac has been lazy all year, and lazy on defense.

Probably got tired of it.......and said what he thought.

Glad to see someone is holding Tmac accountable.

    ABOUT TIME !

Frankly speaking.. both guys have not earned the right to comment on anyone on the team.. both have been bad.. Ron has had his flashes of brilliance.. but his D has been bad... maybe because of his ankle..

well.. we need not talk abt T-mac's season.. its already well known..

    thats my point..

PS: if artest's comments was the reason T-mac played D today.. then i would love this to go on and on... :)

I understand why is Ron calling out TMac and he has right to do it.

McGrady is a leader on this team, maybe not the leader you imagine him like but he certainly is the guy capable of doing everything.

Plus TMac understood everything and I'm glad he did that and I'm also sure that Ron was telling McGrady this even before, face to face.

Whole teams needs to step up on D and that starts with Tracy McGrady and as soon as he steps up and brings fire Rockets will be alright.

I get the feeling like he doesn't want to be a leader, he's constantly saying Yao is the number one option and that he will just score 15 ppg and just pass the ball. I mean it's ok but he's a leader.

    C'mon?
