he was playing well in indy for a few yrs when they were winning. i think he just wants to win. when you win, it suppresses a lot of problems.

tmac and yao are very unselfish and they'll give up shots. as long as a championship is here by next yr, artest will beg to stay.

You're willing to risk losing him? Why? If you can avoid it, why would you risk losing a stud?

If he acts out, trade him -- we'll get more value than a 7million expiring contract he is now. It's a no brainer to me. As a poster before mentioned, we gave up TWO first round draft picks: Ron Ron better be here longer than a year. Re-sign him!

I think that next to the Drexler trade, this could be the best trade we have ever made in my time as a fan (since 89 or so...)

It could also be a huge crash and burn... I have always despised Artest and remember chanting "Feed your dogs" when he was shooting free throws at a game a few years ago. I hope RA and the leaders on the team can keep this guy in check.

I know the Rockets ticket sales office is smiling... :D

i don't know why people keep saying "we got him for little, if it doesn't work let him go"? Even if he goes nuts can't we trade him at the deadline, he is an expiring so his talent would be sought after by strong teams, or a weak team for his expiring. Could we trade him at the deadline

We won't trade him before the deadline, unless he totally explodes before then. If for no other reason, we brought him here to help win a championship this year.

What was BJax's salary? I'm figuring, Les won't let us replace Artest's $7.4 million for a player that isn't extraordinary, so if Artest leaves after this year, Les will let us spend whatever the two players (supposedly BJax and Greene) make this year.
