    RIP.

I also saw that the Browns (as of right now), no planned moment of silence or anything like that.(@MaryKayCabot : #Browns have no plans right now to have a moment of silence Sunday in honor of former Browns owner Art Modell, club spokesman said.)

They did release a 15-word statement: “The Cleveland Browns would like to extend their deepest condolences to the entire Modell family.”

Probably best they don't even acknowledge it at the Browns game because it would just get ugly. I don't think a moment of silence would be possible.

Yep sort of how I would envision a Bud Adams tribute at reliant.

What he did to Cleveland was inexcusable. No excuse other than pure raw greed. Same with Bud.

Speaking of Bud. He's looks like he's got one foot in the grave, and the odds of his team winning a SB in his remaining years: zero

And all because he thought he was being clever when he drafted one of the biggest QB bust of all time.

They're honoring the Modell family's request to not honor Art's passing before the Browns game. Good move

Yeah, it was at the specific request of his son I believe. As a Browns fan I'm kind of glad he requested it. There will be some dumb ass fans who will make us look bad during whatever tribute the organization might do. It's unavoidable and every team has those fans so get off your high horse people.

I'm a diehard Browns fan, and my involuntary thought every time I hear his name is 'f*** that guy' even when I first heard his death. Of course 2 seconds later I told myself it's just sports and just tried to appreciat the positive things he did. He was the owner of the Browns for such a long time, it would be ignorant to ignore all that.
