DAT FINALE! Wow, the creators teased a WTF moment, but I wasn't expecting that. Man, I can't wait until the next episode.
I usually don't post in here but HOLY $HIT that ending was crazy... so glad I decided to start watching this show.
Would of been more interesting if it wasn't the main character. The ramifications would be less certain for the viewer. Since its the main character we know the events will be reversed.
This show has kind of developed a trend. The first half season is all about moving the chess pieces into position, and then everything goes down in the second half. All of the pieces are now in position for yet another badass finish. I love the way they set up the red herring that Oliver was gonna have some trouble finishing him off, when in fact Ras al Ghul just flat out whipped his ass. I'm guessing Oliver stays gone for a little while, while Felicity starts working with Atom. Boy can this show do villains, Deathstroke was amazing and Ras al Ghul looks to be every bit as awesome. I keep waiting for a falloff but this show just keeps delivering. Amazing episode. This show always delivers. We know Ollie won't die, but I'm glad the writers didn't have the main struggle during his fight to somehow pull out an upset win. Rather, Ras just wiped the floor with Ollie. Awesome. I think it is pretty clear they're going the fountain of youth way. Ras dropped many hints during this episode, saying it's been 67 years since his last trial by combat and his first kill was at 11. At a minimum, he's 78 but he's physically nowhere near that. I just wonder how this show will do it. Maseo being revealed as a league member was awesome, too.
Also, just wanted to mention that Thea fighting Ollie was the slowest action movement I've seen in this show lol. I wonder if the actress is doing her own stunts. It's refreshing to see Thea actually do something, though.
She and Laurel are both extremely poorly written. With few exceptions in the first two seasons, neither really contributed that much to the main storyline. They were always whiny B-story line characters who's feelings 'needed to be considered'. I thought her Corto Maltese back-story arc was good but since returning to Star City, her character's really bland and hard to understand.
How are the Arrow fans holding up after Flash caught his arrow and beat the crap out of him? I am concerned they will not become roommates at the Justice League after the latest beat down.
The Movement to the 'super powered/mystic/etc' in the show is very good I think they will be allowed more Powered Villians which will segue into SuperGirl Rocket River
is the lazarous pit the same pit that was in Dark Knight Rises? and Ras Al Ghul looks like Kostas Papanikolaou
