Haven't most of us came to conclusion that many in mass media, especially ESPN doesn't give Yao the credit he deserves or looks at him as a capable superstar. Stereotypical "He's just a slow, underachieving, unathletic, weak and who doesn't have the will to win or lead his team deep into the playoffs."

In other words.....ESPN dislikes Yao. I'll give my usual anti-ESPN/Other Org....about how bias the network is to certain players, the third rate journalism quality, and how ESPN should just be called the highlight network with people who really don't know much about sports....blah...blah...I hate you ESPN...screw u b*stards. I'm tired getting off bad jokes about their sports ruining channel....yadda...yadda..blah...etc....etc....F U ESPN Bristol b*stards.

Most of heard the same before from me or someone else. Whocares ESPN says...until Yao wins the MVP and Championship, the Rockets crush the Suns and Mavs....Ha Ha Ha and maybe Celtics (Boston team) another big HA HA HA

    End of story.

    Have Good Evening.

We have idiots who share the same twisted mentality around here too. You can easily spot these fools based on their post history. Once the search function is back on, these fools will be very easy to be exposed.

Funny that you should respond. I'm sure you're loving it when ESPN flames Yao.

Shouldn't it be very obvious to you by now? You know what you have said/posted in the past. You can pretend to be whatever you want to be now but you can't hide from your own past posts. And I will always have fun to expose haters and faked fans like you.

again, u have to see where the media is coming from. has yao dominated ONE SINGLE PLAYOFF GAME?

yao's been a great reg. season player the last 1.5 yrs. superstar level no doubt.

but did he dominate one single game for us in the playoffs?

though tmac sucked on the road v. utah? he dominated 2 games: game 5 and game 7: 26 and 16, 29 and 13. and he dominated most of the games v. dallas where u truly say he was the best player in that series.

the media hasn't seen that dominance in yao in the playoffs.

to the media, IT'S ALL ABOUT PLAYOFF SUCCESS.

are you actually excusing espn's blatant dislike of Yao?

on NBA Fastbreak(espn show), they gave Manu Ginobili emphatic "honors" for his "big game"(of 23pts), all the while showing a looping highlight of his dunk over Yao and laughing..

when they go so far as to try to pass of 23pts as a "big game" in a night where there were several other 30pt scorers.. and where Yao, in the same game, had 28pt 13rb 6ast and 3blks.. just to show a highlight of Yao getting dunked on as a "grand finale".. you know there's more to it than just "playoff success" or lack there-of..

Yeah, 23 points in a one single game in 82 game season is pretty big game.....I will say.

i'm not agreeing w/ ESPN b/c they're GARBAGE in a lot of the stuff that they say.

but again, if u want to shut up the media, u win and perform well in the playoffs.

look at jeter v. arod. they NEVER flame jeter (though he sucked in the playoffs this yr) and just KILL arod.

they bring up tmac's playoff record all the time.

and looking at it from a non-rocket fan persepctive, yao has not performed at the highest level in the playoffs. so to the national media and fans, who rarely see rockets games, and they only see them when the coverage is on just a few teams (which happens in the playoffs) and yao hasn't performed at his reg. season level, then u know where they come from.

that's why i don't get mad when they say kobe/wade/bron/iverson are better than tmac when they bring up success in the playoffs.

until yao can perform like a superstar in the playoffs, he won't get recognition.

playoffs sucess = all that counts to the media.

The John 3:16 of sports career management. To be the greatest or a "global icon", you must perform under pressure, and if you can't then obviously you're not the best.

This team should take note more than anyone. Prove yourselves in crunch time, or else don't bother.

exactly. tmac will NEVER be regarded as a true legend until he wins. if he gets past the first round, he'll be a sure HOF and be one of the best or whatever. but to be a legend like most people think he can be, he has to win a ring or two.

for yao to get the respect he deserves, he has to do what he did last night v. the spurs IN THE PLAYOFFS. if he did that for a few games in the first round, we'd won. in that game yesterday, u can truly say, "YAO WAS THE BEST PLAYER IN THAT GAME. HE MADE THAT GAME HIS OWN. HE PUT HIS SIGNATURE ON THE GAME." he has to do that in the playoffs.

i can't recall one playoff game where yao was the undoubtedly the best player in that playoff game. the media knows that.

but i think he'll do that htis yr. he's growing. he's getting better w/ his stamina so the 4th quarter shouldn't be a problem.

again, let's get it done in the playoffs. reg. season, just try to get the best seed.

06-07 season playoff, game 1: Yao 28/13 and held Boozer to 11 pts and Okur to 6 pts.

Yeah it's only ONE game. But that's also the point that you wanted to make. Right?
