Apparently not that much, because you just got through telling us if Obama was president, you would have quit. My brother is a 20+ year Marine veteran and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who thought less of George Bush than he did. Despite this, he continued to serve in the Marines under Bush because he recognized that he was serving the country, not a man. He even volunteered to deploy to Iraq, (though he opposed the war), because he saw it as his duty, and thought he could do some good in a very messed up situation. Thankfully for me and his family, his command thought he was more valuable in his stateside position. That is a patriot. You, not so much.
If the Christian says the prayer, kisses his cross, has been blogging about how abortion clinic bombings are all good and then does a shoot-'em-up like this cat...then yeah, i'd say his religion played in to it.

About the only positive in this and now the Orlando shootings is that they were able to apprehend both shooters alive. Little pisses me off more than people like this trash committing these acts and then cowardly shooting themselves. I'm glad they'll get to have their day in court and try to defend what they did...and then hopefully rot in prison for the rest of their lives.

Further, not just specific to the D&D, anytime somebody mentions "muslim" and "violence" anywhere on any internet forum in the universe, there's going to be a debate breaking out. As Phil Collins would say, this is the world we live in. 2. I'm going to play Devil's Fatty Fat b*stard for a second and ask what you think the purpose of a "somber recollection" thread serves. A bunch of people posting "+" or "R.I.P." for people they don't know? Then a few years later you can bump the thread? Come on. While a nice gesture, on the scale of gravity or sincerity, such ranks somewhere below pouring some out on the curb for your homies and not doing anything at all.
no one stereotyped me. i don't know what you're saying, honestly. i was having a conversation with judoka and my response was sent directly to the conversation he and i were having. go back and read my posts in this thread before you make accusations. i've been crystal clear that this man's own brand of his religion is, i believe, part of what motivated what he did....not condemning Islam, generally.
This wasn't a soldier praying before being ordered to go to war, this was some lunatic who went out and murdered 13 people in cold blood. I can't believe you think it's the same thing.
Thank you and other posters that defended me. I have a medical clinic here in SW Houston, anyone here that called me a liar is welcome to come to my place and say that to my face. BTW: I would never advocate our soldies AWOL because of Obama. My feelings towards the Mesiah is strong enough to warrant some jailtime at Fort Leavenworth, but that is strictly me and myself alone.
