[Armchair Rockets GM] Roster Trimming and the 3rd PG

    Why would west come here for minimum? I believe he will get more than that on open market.

    If we can trim our roster down enough to add one FA, I suggest Tinsley should be our 3rd string PG. We have 2 young points, and need a vet to mentor them. It is also ludacris to think that a young player (like West) would sign with us for the minimum (which is probably all we have left).

    As per my above post, my opinion wis that a suitable 3rd stringer should be a vet because our existing PG's are stilll very young and have a lot to learn. I have no idea if anyone would agree with me on this, but I'd prefer a proven vet over upside at a position that we will rarely used. At least a vet can be off the court and still provide input.

    The problem is most vets won't be happy being the third string point guard.
