After looking at pictures again of Reliant, I've changed my mind. This will be the nicest stadium in the country.

You give any city 1 billion dollars, and they can build a pretty nice stadium. Reliant cost far less... but still has great infrastructure since the Astrodome is there.

I really like the concept of having a screen outside the stadium. They do this alot at the big tennis tournaments. That way people who don't have tickets can still enjoy the atmosphere of the game.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be allowed in Houston... using whatever dumb rule that prevented the Rockets from putting up a big screen outside Toyota Center.

Yeah true, but I'm just referring to aesthetics.

Cowboys had no choice but to go all out in this case. This is just like one of those once in a lifetime deals. You don't want to ever fall short and end up regretting anything in the end. Good decision I think.

Interesting that they are going with a synthetic turf. I like the Cardinals new stadium where the whole field goes outside the stadium for the grass to grow. Both the Cardinals and the new Cowboys stadiums are just slight upgrades over Reliant which is to be expected.

To be honest I was expecting a lot more from the Cardinals new stadium

See your first mistake was expecting anything above average out of the Arizona Cardinals organization.

I personally think the location of the new stadium sucks. Now as far as the stadium itself, just having AC is a big improvement. When you are going from Sun Turd Stadium to University of Phoenix Stadium, big improvement.

I'm so glad I don't live in Arlington, having to pay for this crap...They had to pay a portion of Ameriquest Field as well...

Will I go, hell yeah, because Texas Stadium sux azz...They needed new highway construction before this was even rewarded here...Traffic sux over there, just trying to go to Six Flags, a ball game, etc...

Reliant is badass but for $1Billion dollars, there better be hookers at every entrance ready to service me...oh snap, that's my other dream...

found this kinda strange - new doesn't mean better -

    old vs new

suites: going from 380 to 200
ticket entrances: 12 down to 10

and those who thought it was bad enough having to stand in line for the restroom
    toilets/urinals: 1711 now to 1600

they did increase the concession stands from 52 to 286

Bathrooms don't make money...well, unless you take rrj_gamz's idea of hookers...

That is a crazy @ss stadium. Its going to be the best in the nfl for a decade.

100,000 people! Thats crazy right there. Its pretty rare for any modern stadium, with a closed roof, to seat that many people. And the screen, i thought the one at UT was big. This one is just humongous. Those TVs have to cost millions.

Whats the site for the RELIANT ARENA. I think ours is pretty impressive and still super bowl quality. We have had 3 new stadiums built so we wouldnt have been able to do it big. Spending that much is r****ded anyway. Way too risky. I am gonna laugh when the screen falls.

What's gonna suck is if the screen falls.

Also, I can't imagine any punter who would want to play there...

What disadvantage does it give to punters?

If the ball bounces off the suspended scoreboard, it'll really mess up your punt.

We also weren't allowed by the city to put a string of red light around the roof. This pissed me off more than anything, lol.
