    They actually knew it could be hit before the season started and just figured in-game it wouldn't be hit too often and if it was, just do the play over. Hopefully it doesn't happen too often or they'll have a new tradition. :D

    When Chelsea FC were in town for their pre-season friendly match, before their practice session the players took aim at the scoreboard and a few of them hit it with the soccer balls. Not surprised at all that the American football punters hit the scoreboard as well.
    I think before the stadium opened Jerry stated that wouldn't happen because someone asked him about Matt Mcbriar hitting the scoreboard at the Alamodome during training camp a few years back. Jerry was wrong.

    I can guarantee that if the Cowboys are getting blown out at home and the opposing team has to punt late in the game - the punter will be aiming for that scoreboard. It will definitely become a tradition.
