If it is a dangerous play, and sends a player to the hospital, then he need get suspended. The rule is set to protect the players, not for the ball or body argument. Odom should be suspended, if not, the rockets should sue the NBA.

if i knew i was about to lose for the 7th time in a row at the same place, i'd try to take someone's head off too. Not saying it was right, but i'd be    .

Ariza knew what he was doing. Down 30 with 3 seconds left in the 3rd... Infact if u watch that video slowly Ariza almost punched someone but a laker held his arm back. He was in the swinging motion already.

Why is it taking so long to look at Odom get off the bench and get in Roy's face?

Doesn't look he's gonna get suspended either at this point...

Going for the ball? Yah probably. Trying to hurt him? I really think he is. You don't **** back like that when you are behind the guy trying to swat him. He was looking to hit him. With the huge lead and that hit, I say suspend him. Of course, they are the Lakers the Stern will protect the Lakers. Imagine if Artest did that, you know suspensions would be handed it VERY QUICKLY. Plays like this makes me not want to watch the NBA anymore.

If that were Ron, you'd probably be looking at a multiple game suspension.

I can't wait for stern to resign.

Sadly this will not happen and will mar the prime of several players yet to even come into the league that do not play for the "media darlings".

yep Odom suspended. many sites reporting.

They have a fairly decent PF backup

Josh Powell, good mid-range shot, good athleticism and rebounder, Lakers are deep.

Stern saved the nba. Turning the nba from a inner city, drug, gambling, thug league to a world sport with the most recognizable players. The 1st league with a salary ceiling and floor and international viability. Stern is the best or 2nd best commish in sports.

I hate the lakers. Too bad it wasn't kobe or Gasol who were injured. If it cost them the 1st round it would have made it a little sweeter.

They were hooked up by stern to get Gasol so the NBA could generate some revenue again.

Yes its a freaking conspiracy. :p

He manipulated games, too. He sent Kings to home and let Lakers make the final. He is a pure businessman. Everything he does is for money, not for the fans. Money is the only thing he is chasing at.

    Fixed it for you.

Stern did a lot of good things for the NBA. I don't think anyone can deny that. But like all things it's not good to have a dictator at the helm for so long. And really, the NBA needs some new blood and new ideas.

Thats great. Maybe after he cures cancer, he can get the officiating in his league fixed.

They had a sports fan poll on ESPN and by far the NBA was voted as having the worst refs in all sports. Until this changes, I don't like him as commissioner.

    [Spoiler alert]

    It doesn't change.

i hope ariza is out. i dont want him injuring any of our injury prone players. and odom... meh. watever. if hes out great. we have a better chance at winning.

but i like winning when they have most of their players intact so that there is less "rockets steal a win over short-handed lakers"
