I'm no conspiracy theorist, but I really hope stern resigns sometime in the near future. I was hoping the Donaghy debacle would've done it, but no. :(

Arriza really hurt the Rockets last time. Rockets actually played well in the early part of the game. When he got in, all hell broke loose...

I wish Ariza was out but hopefully Odom will be. But knowing the standard issue of NBA politics, I doubt they will do it unless there is hard evidence they can't deny.

Stern wants the Lakers in that number one spot and hopefully to win a championship, because Kobe being a bigger superstar and more comparable to Jordan is "good" for the league.

I watched the replay on SC, and didn't think the foul was that bad. The result of the play sucks for Fernandez obviously, but I really don't think Ariza was out to hurt anyone. And then ESPN showed when Odom played D on Roy in some previous game and Roy got shaken up or hurt. There's "bad blood." Odom's play didn't even look close to malicious either.

Pfth, I didn't really dislike ESPN much before, but I'm starting to join some of you guys that call them BSPN.

Obviously it was all ball  .

Send a guy to a hospital in a neck brace and not get suspended...wow.

How many times are you going to misspell "Ariza"?

To me it seemed like he was making a play on the ball, which I believe is the make or break point of a flagrant/malicious foul. Now whether he got ball or not is not the issue nor the call when it comes to deciding the severity of the foul.

Ariza shouldn't be suspended. Good call.

    Odom should, though.

Haha how more obvious can it get ? Stern, please resign and take Stu Jackson, all the aholes involved in your little conspiracy, the refs who are racist, all the ones who do not like Yao, Violet Palmer, Tony Brothers and the rest of those clowns with you. It's time for some1 else, Stern has ruined the NBA !!

Let's see how the refs do their job tomorrow, my guess is Yao will be taken out of the game, Kobe will get a lot of And 1's and every Rocket will get called for ticky tak fouls.

Book it, the Lakers and Celtics / Cavs will be in the finals this year.

The issue wasn't whether or not it was all ball, it was whether or not he made a play on the ball. Watching the replay, he made a play on the ball. He was over Fernandez's head, just like the ball was. He got ball, but more importantly, arm, since he was trying to stop the basket. Fernandez took a hard bump due to the nature and situation, and Ariza rightfully got a Flagrant 2. However, to say he deserves a suspension for it is ridiculous.

Odom deserves the suspension because it's in the rules.

I think it was a pretty soft hit and Ferdnandez is making it seem worse than it was. More than anything what cause him to get hurt was how he landed, not how he was hit. Honestly, the way his body rotated on axis wasn't like he was clotheslined, it was more indicative of him going toward the contact and then he fell on his side. I'm not saying it wasn't a hard foul, but I don't think it was a flagrant 2. If this game was in LA it wouldn't be seen that way...

DD, you have to put the pom-poms down and report accurately. He didn't step on the court nor did he go past the white line. Now ariza I think will at least 1 game. As much as people don't like it and it was poor the way rudy landed, barkley always talks about people trying to showtime in a blowout that you have to hard foul people. That was a old school event that happened last night.

I hope they are both there.

Don't get me wrong, I'll take the easier win if Odom is out, but if we win with them at full strength after beating Denver IN DENVER, that sends a statement to the rest of the league. On the other hand, if we lose with their 3rd best player gone at home, that could be just as devastating.

The was I see it, if Odom is there its a win win for us in terms of the big picture.

Rocket Jones, I noticed your sig, how you left out moses malone. How can you leave a guy that had 2 mvp's and a finals appearance in rocket red?

I hope they both play.....I'd rather beat them at full strength to see how we stack up against their size...

    Rockets Jones-

Sorry to get off topic, but shouldn't your sig have Moses in the C spot as well and Calvin before Max? I would also put Steve in the PGs.

Again, sorry. Carry on with the topic of douch.....er...lakers.

It does not say enter the court it says leave the bench area, he clearly did that and confronted Roy.

Sorry but I'm a 90s man so I'm not going to sit here pretending I watched the Rockets in the 80s.
