Doesn’t make it right? It’s a pro sports league. A business. It’s not a decision to feed or starve the poor. It’s not an ethical dilemma.

I said Vegas is a model for cities in the west US in terms of sustainability and water usage. I didn’t say anything about hockey.

In a traditional city, a sports entertainment district is like a suburban mall, super lame

The entertainment district thing is just something to try and convince non sports fans to vote for an arena project.

If the coyotes are responsible for the water shortage in the West. That's a pisser. We don't want that.

As a community, Las Vegas sucks. I lived in Henderson for ten years...it, Summerlin and Lake Las Vegas are no different than Clear Lake, Sugarland, The Woodlands, etc... ...suburbia, except they house gambling degenerates, misplaced northeasterners and transient workers renting.

Vegas is corrupt and has the wool pulled over so many people's eyes. The water usage controls is only thrust upon homeowners with resorts and golf courses somehow exempt from using however much water they want. Vegas cannot sustain its current state nor any additional influx of new residents. Investing there for the long term would be fiscally foolish.

My understanding was that it was built by a man who had an idea to build a city out of a desert stop-over for GI's on the way to the West Coast. That kid's name was Moe Greene, and the city he invented was Las Vegas.

This was a great man, a man of vision and guts. And there isn't even a plaque, or a signpost or a statue of him in that town! Someone put a bullet through his eye.

No one knows who gave the order. When I heard it, I wasn't angry; I knew Moe, I knew he was head-strong, talking loud, saying stupid things. So when he turned up dead, I let it go. And I said to myself, this is the business we've chosen; I didn't ask who gave the order, because it had nothing to do with business!

    mosquitos > scorpions, tarantulas

And yes, Red Rocks is nice. Green Valley Ranch was my preference. The Station Casinos group had really nice setups for locals.

M Resort and Vons on Eastern were my go-to locations to run into Mike Tyson.

    Ugh...

Like others, I get excited every time I see this thread back towards the top and click to see if there's an update, maybe even from @J.R. But this is the not the update I was hoping for.

Any other realistic way for this to work?

These people were brainwashed by the media which is located in New York and Los Angeles along with the NBA to sell MJ's shoes.

    I call them.. ENEMY.

I know, yet you have a distaste for hockey in the South. How ironic.

Next you'll tell me that ice skating at the Galleria was wrong, or that I can't go ice fishing when we have the next hellacious winter storm.

I have a distaste for many things that should not be. Like pineapple on pizza. (Invented by Canadians which makes it even more wrong. I’m starting believe that southern hockey is karmic punishment for Canada)
You can certainly try to go ice finishing on Lake Conroe next time you have a hellacious winter storm. You might not need an ice house or an augur Uffda!
