Why must he jack up threes 6 seconds into the shot clock with out even getting the ball to Harden first.

He has done this every game for the past couple weeks and it is a huge contributor to our blown leads.

Do you think he needs to improve his shot selection or should he keep shooting in hopes he gets into a rhythm?

I wonder if Ariza is one of those players who has to make 200 3's every practice.

I'm guessing if he did, he'd never leave practice.

Trevor Ariza makes a 24-foot three-pointer from the right corner. Assist: Donatas Motiejunas

Ariza hoists up threes as if we're down by 15 in the 4th.

He should only be shooting when he is set never ever in transition or pull ups

Yeah, that's what he needs to be shooting. Not a pull up transition 3 when we have an 8 pt lead

He hit a pretty clutch three at the end of the game tonight.

Ariza shoots transition threes like he's rushing against time to make his quota.

    He must be stopped.

If there is 18 seconds still on the clock . . . ARIZA NEEDS TO PUT THE SAFETY ON
cause he pulling the trigger too many times
    IMO
make the defense work a little bit . . . . esp when no one is under the basket

One of the reasons I don't like him is that he has no concept of playing within himself.

Never has since he has been here, either time, drives me nuts.

Shooters go through streaks. He is just cold, and has been for awhile now. It could be starting to become mental because people (like most on cfans) might be verbally second guessing his shots. He might even be working with the coaching staff on tweaking his form. That would mean the problem has been discussed between the staff and Ariza.

I really think a shooter should just keep shooting until he finds his rhythm, which WILL happen. I don't enjoy reading the Ariza hate, but we have to find something to complain about.

It's a team thing. We dont have discipline. Our coach staff dont enforce discipline. That's why we cant control our game. We just gamble on threes.

talk all you want about %, but Ariza has hit numerous clutch 3's...unlike that other SF we had.

Hopefully he elevates his game when the pressure is really on in the playoffs like he did last year

He is NOT a shooter - he is bad at shooting, well bad at making anyway.

If he would do what Josh Smith has done and stick to the 3 ball when his feet are set and it is off a pass, fine, otherwise....NOOOOO

I agree that he can't shoot off the dribble or off balance, but that doesn't make him not a shooter.

Is Steve Novak not a shooter? I'm not saying Ariza is as good at 3s, but his stats last year show that he has ability to be labeled a shooter.

Nah, shooters are guys who can sustain it over the course of their careers.
