Ok I get his overall shooting percentage is crappy but 33% used to be good from three point land. People complain he shows no emotion and when he does then people get on him for that too??? Lets be honest, Brooks drove the ball and lost it out of bounds, if the stop and pop was out of the question because of Marion's height why try a driving layup with 2 tall guys on hum. I have ZERO problem with Ariza speaking up because Brooks has made that mistake a few times(Portland), its a teaching moment right there. Ariza's stats where fine 50 percent shooting, 13 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, only 1 three pointer taken and saved a ball from going out of bounds late in regulation. Ariza is not perfect but what do you expect from a guy that gets paid 5 million a year and is being TAUGHT to do something different then he has had to in the past, LEAD A TEAM.

Brooks is at .523 according to hot spots. and Chuck is at .450

It would be nice if people actually knew what they were talking about when they posted.

Link to Hotspots to see for yourself.

    Amen.
    This is overblown.

Love Ariza's D, and he will find his place with respect to shot selection/dominance. Book it.

Chuck went through a 2-game stretch earlier in the season where he missed 15 out of 16 shots around the basket.

I'm officially done defending his ability to finish around the rim.

Did Brooks and Ariza get into it physically? Did someone throw a punch? Did someone lay a finger on the other person?

    No?

I actually think we are a better team with the Budinger/Battier tandem at the 2/3. I really wished Ariza was coming off the bench with Lowry/Landry.

am i the only one who saw ariza just walking around back and forth at the top of the paint yesterday when brook was trying to get the pick and roll...he was walking around with both his hands holding the sides of his jersey like he didnt care about the game...maybe he was supposed to do that i dunno but he could atleast have gotten under the goal when brooks shot instead of just looking

That is totally meaningless. You have no idea how many of those attempts are uncontested free layups and how many are not. It WOULD be nice if people actually knew what they were talking about when they posted.

I saw a little apathy on Ariza's part near the end of the game and I thought it was because he didn't feel involved.

I don't mind him yelling at Brooks because it was a bad play on Aarons part but based on his recent performances he doesn't have a whole lot of room to complain.

And if Rick and DM see a lack of effort on his part you can bet he'll start to lose minutes to CBud who even if his shot is off always hustles and fights.

Might be a good thing, Brooks needs to learn that he has other choices than just driving to the rim. Ariza said he was telling Aaron that most likely he wouldn't get a foul call and he could stop & pop. We had recently lost to Portland on basically the same play and we didn't get the foul called in that game. Also, Aaron had just turned the ball over and almost did it again. Missing the shot is one thing, but not even getting one drives me crazy. Brooks is definitely our best option in that situation and the opposing teams know that too. I would like for us to add a little twist, maybe a pick & roll where we could get another player involved. I'm not defending Ariza, but I like that he wants to win, assuming it went down this way.

I don't know what games you are watching but Aaron makes so many contested, how did that go in layups that it's insane.

Or make clutch free throws at the end of games. Brooks, as far as I have seen, is really good for short bursts of offense. His passing skills and court vision are a long way from the level of elite pg's in the league. Yet again, he may never be an elite point guard, at the most, a good combo player.

Isn't it funny that he got 10 assists when CBud started? Maybe if Brooks had some other talented offensive players playing with him he would not have to score the ball so much.

I mean Ariza and Battier on the wings are low percentage players, Hayes is about as putrid an offensive player as Ryan Bowen and only Scola is a guy that can finish....Brooks probably gets the majority of his assists on that pnr with Scola.

When did this happen? I was listening to the 4th quarter in the car, so I assume that's when it was.

After the final shot of regulation. For the record, it was nothing.
