Question: what will Adelman do if the team plays good basketball while Ariza's out? i'm not thinking wins-losses as much as strong offense, better defense, and more cohesiveness within the team structure.

He can delay the decision by 'working' ariza back into the roster, but at a point he'll have to decide and I suspect fans wont be happy to see Ariza back in the starting lineup if the team is playing well.....never a dull moment, lol.

Well, given the way we got annihilated by Miami with Ariza out, I wouldn't place bets on this team being significantly better without him. Not sure why everyone's so ecastic he's not playing.

One thing I've learned about Adelman is that he never lets good basketball get in the way of his mindless substitution patterns. Don't you worry, he will get Trevor in for 30+ minutes a game no matter what.

I think it had to do with lowry being out. Our starting group might be one of the worst in the league, but our bench makes up for it, but without lowry pushing them the bench isn't as good.

With Lowry out, we've merely been losing. With Lowry AND Ariza gone, we were just utterly wrecked by Miami. Of course, it may have been due to simply adjusting to Lowry's absence (if I'm correct, that game was the first game after he got injured ) but I think Trevor played a role in that disaster.

If we go 3-0 with Ariza out than I expect Martin should start. The Rockets have gone cold since Lowry's been out and if Martin starting brings us back to our winning ways than Ariza won't start. The same way T-Mac didn't play when he came back because the team was doing well at the time. If Ariza comes back on a 3-0 team, expect Martin and Battier to start.

thanks - personally, I think both players play good defense but while Shane is smarter (from years of experience), he's not quick enough anymore to guard some of the more athletic 2's & 3's.

It'll be interesting to see what happens at the 3 - I foresee Martin slipping into the starting 2 spot, and with Adelman's motion offense, I see Ariza taking the 3 start from Shane. Thankfully, Shane is such a class act that he can take coming off the bench without public whining.

Finally Martin to start. With 1 less wing to play for minutes, maybe its time to play Hill by moving Jefferies to play spot minutes at the wing position?

Question, anyone have any idea when Lowry will return?

Do you "Thank God Ariza is out" people miss him yet?

We'd probably be losing. By 20? I don't know. Dang, and another 2 games min. without him.

It is interesting the two games that Ariza's out have been basically our two worst games of the year. Coincidence?
