That's when it happened. He got the steal, lifted his arms and crouched down in pain.

Wow, Ariza has really burned his fries with the fans here in Houston; cheers for his injury! Can he recover? Can he win back the fans, or is he the whipping boy from here on, essentially Rafer's replacement?

the point i'm trying to make is that he's not likely to re-injure a bruise without contact. When he got the steal he likely stretched in a way that brought out the pain, but i was was wondering if he actually re-injured it, or got hit again, and i do remember seeing him get hit after a shot attempt.

Tanking is beginning, it should be? I am hoping that we can get a better pick. This year we will go nowhere except development of young players, just play those young guys.

In all fairness to Ariza, he has looked better to me in recent games. Granted, I have not been able to watch more than two or three games in their entirety for a month but I have not seen nearly as much of the bone-headed plays and definitely less of the pissy attitude from him.

As I've said in the past, I think he can be a piece and actually contribute to a Championship contending team here in Houston. The problem is that the skills he brings really are not that rare and do not make up for his shortcomings. Simply put, the Rockets could find a wing player with length and who plays good defense (sometimes) but is an absolute moron offensively at a better rate than they signed Trevor for.

Hope this guy hurrrys back. At this point in the season we are going to need our entire team to contribute. And as much as i really dont like saying this, Some of the people on these boards should not consider themselves Rockets FANS, Seems like alot of people on here dont know too much about sports, and why its called a team. This guy helps us whether you would like to admit it or not. Get well Ariza :)

When "fans" cheer the injury of a player, that is when you know your just not seeing the big picture. I can't stand how many of you people cheer a Rockets injury, sure he hasn't done things right this year, but many teams would be lucky to have him, lets just give Ariza a chance...

He's not blaming Martin.. he's saying Kevin is going to be the next person that the "masses" turn into a whipping boy.

That could have accounted for his poor performance in the last game. Hopes he gets healthy quickly.

Martin will be the new whipping boy, he makes the most money outside of Yao so he better be prepared.

Ariza is a good player, he will be missed definitely. No his offense is...meh...but the guy is a great defender and that will be missed.

The only good out of this is Martin starts, hopefully he has some good games and when Ariza comes back we send Shane to the bench.
