id rather have temple on point with martin laying his natural position than him trying to do something he never had to do before in playing pg
HAHAHAHAHA. That was the BEST JOKE, I've heard ALL DAY!!!! btw - shooting 38.3% for the season, Ariza, as of today is SECOND TO LAST on the rankings among all qualifying players based on FG%. I'm sorry, but no, we do not NEED Ariza. theSAGE
The Joke will be tomorrow night when you'll be begging to have him back. your hate clouds your logic.
definitely. temple has been doing very good playing the point for us and he ran PG for LSU the whole 4 years he was there basically. I think I rather keep temple at PG permanently if he stays on the team that is.
I thought I remembered Scola covering him most of time (badly as you mentioned). I wasn't sure if Battier picked him up ever or not but that does seem familiar. I'm on the bandwagon that says Jeffries can probably guard him better than anyone else on the team.
The only beef I have with Scola is his insistance on staying in the lane on defense. The guy just will not come out to the 3pt line, ever, and he gets burned on it, a lot. DD
I miss the days of Chuck guarding Lewis until he got so frustrated that Stan Van Gundy resorted to hack-a-Chuck to try and get him out of the game. Now if we did that we have no one to cover Dwight ... I miss Yao so much sometimes.
he had a hip pointer he was playing through, you need to sit that out, those things are ridiculously painful when you plant or turn, its sharp intense pain. i want to make the playoffs and all, but i am only concerned with getting EVERYONE back healthy, we should just forfeit the rest of the season so that our injury curse cant take any more of our soldiers.
Man, people that underate the big fella really need to step back and watch the matador type of defense this year, if we don't draw a charge it is layup city at the cup. DD
next 3 games are W's ..better ball movement..more efficient scoring... not to mention going to Martin with 2 minutes to play when they need a bucket as opposed to waiting for ariza to pray one of his threes fall Mark my words
Besides me, has anyone wonder why the hell does Ariza tries to dribble the ball into the paint, then stop the ball and stand there trying to pass it. He dribbles the ball into the paint like he's going to drive it in but he always ends up stopping and picking up the ball and ends up not doing anything with it. He does that every time. I'm tired of seeing that from him. If he's going to drive it in, then go all the way. But instead, he always stop for some reason and stand there in the paint with the ball off balance trying to pass it back out again.
I'd been worrying about Ariza -- he's seemed to be in quite a bit of pain lately. A few games off will do him some good.
ok maybe just a little too excited..while beating the magic is possible with our rockets not probable as Dwight will probably eat the Chuckwagon for breakfast so maybe just a small edit on the mark my words to the 2 games AFTER the Magic...and yes i know its the spurs and the damn Jazz
He does it to draw a second defender and pass the ball to the open man in the paint. He does this on P&R to Scola/Hayes for easy baskets. No one respects Shane pr AB enough to attack the rim so Trevor does it.
