Lowry and Ariza are two of our best perimeter defenders, with both of them out I expect us to struggle on the defensive end.

Like it or not, Ariza has been just as good a defender as Battier, if not better.

Budinger/Martin will combine to average 40 ppg on 45% shooting over the next three games. Meanwhile, the team will average 5.4 moronic plays per game, down from 13.5 when Trevor is in the lineup.

Hopefully the offense that Martin brings can compensate for the loss perimeter D.

Oh come on...does the hate ever end?

Just take a look at all of the struggling players' shooting percentages when he's on them. He's too long and quick to shoot over, and there aren't many small forwards who want to take players into the post all game long.

This is great news, now we can try Martin out with more minutes and in a starting role without Trevor getting his panties in a wad. Starting lineup tonight should be:

    PG - Brooks
    SG - Martin
    SF - Battier
    PF - Scola
    C - Jeffries

Lewis is a glorified role player who is vastly overpaid, he will score but I am VERY excited to see what Bud can build on from the last few games.

Nope. There is no changing DD's mind. He either hates a guy or loves a guy. No in-between.

But I agree with the above and Reeko, remember the last game he was out?

I'm excited about Bud playing too. I just hate that people down play and hate Trevor's contributions to the team.

Bud can't play defense yet so Unless he can outscore the overpayed Lewis we stand no chance.

    It doesnt look good.

Last time we were missing both of them we tied the franchise records for lowest score ever.

You never know though, maybe we play D and the other team has an off night.

i think his injury needs clarification....a hip pointer is a hip bruise, not a strain. I think initially they tried to let start healing for a few days and then came back early since we had lowry out. I dont think there were any reports of him re-injuring it, although i did see him take a shot to the hip last game. either way, it probably was never healed to begin with and now he can take some more extended time.
