Ariza has fallen off a bit... but I'm not sure about shipping Ryno + Ariza out for Melo... Just assuming this report is BS because its Schultz.
1) I'd be floored if Ariza is traded. Would very much piss Harden and CP3 off. 2) This dude has been wrong on many occasions. Not putting much stock in this.
He's expendable if we get Melo with Tucker as his backup and both with the ability to play small ball 4, but who will be our starting 4 assuming Melo would start at SF? *Also i'm sure Morey has had discussions with CP3, Harden, and Ariza about unfortunately having to include Ariza in the deal. They probably understand in the end.

Melo is not coming here to start at SF. He will be the starting PF and play the vast majority of his minutes at the 4.
If it is true then aquiring Muah Bah and Tucker clearly makes up for losing Ariza easily. I like Ariza because he has proven to be a championship piece with the Lakers but we don't desperately need the guy honestly.
We would get melo as his best friends and he already got tucker from his recruitment. I'm sure melo would offset ariza for CP. I don't know how close he really is to Ariza but would you rather lose ariza or Capela or Gordon? Just unloading Anderson wasn't going to be enough. Anywho I just want this melo deal to go through so then Morey can fill all the gaps with the open roster spots once the NG bro's are traded
