Why? Does anybody else not feel a foot-injury-a-year coming? Why have a star player that always has some kind of health issues. That just kills consistenty in the lineup on the team. So really, how much less money a year?
Yao is a money maker, you try to have him on the team for Les, thinking about three picks (6M) this year. Only thing you want to do is not to overpay him.
Hahaha LOLL that is exactly how it would pan out. Only Dream would probably take on both yao and tmac and still embarass them!

absolutely stupid to trade brooks in a packaged deal for rubio, rubio is nothing but hype and a kid who has handles but can't shoot his way out of a wet paper bag
Well, right now his salary is going up, that would have to change. There's no doubt he's a money/attention getter, but that doesn't help (directly) win games. Playing in the games helps win games. I just hope the team gradually goes away from Yao being the thing to build around on the team, we kinda already have.
Why do you say the scoring will drop? Last time I checked Ariza shot a better % than Artest. If anything the scoring should go UP because instead of Artest lauching ill-advised 3s you have Ariza driving to the rim or shooting that J. All the extra possessions will go to Landry, Scola and AB who are much better scorers than Artest.
