My guess is that Scola and Battier are both being dangled in trades.

    Maybe 3-way for Rubio?

Ariza will be 18-8 player next year. If Rockets are banking that Yao/Mac can comeback before the break then I only see a move for Zaza happening. If not then I see Battier/Scola gone maybe for someone like Beasley?

I'm thinking Brooks + Cook (expiring) + our first next year for Rubio + Telfair would get it done. It gives the Wolves a solid player in Brooks, plus a possible nice pick next season, and shaves some cap space (2.5 mil or so) next year.

Now, I wouldn't want to give that much up considering next year's first could be pretty high, but apparently the Wolves are holding him hostage at a fairly high price, so...

Were not any worse off than last season, IMHO. We lost Artest but made up for it by getting Ariza and adding scorers like Jermaine Taylor and Chase Budinger. We clearly need a backup C now. I think we should trade TMac for Kirk Hinrich and Brad Miller.

It would be funny and awkward if we can actually get Rudy F and Ariza together.

Ariza is a solid pick up for the rockets. He will be able to fit Ricks system better than Artest. We needed the athleticism and lenght. We can run alot more now. This is a possible lineup that wont start but will appear alot in games:

    1. Aaron Brooks or Lowry
    2. Von Wafer if he signs
    3. Ariza
    4. Carl Landry
    5. Scola or Hayes

We need to get the five position to run more, I think we should go after a camby type. Just maybe the rockets can hang around for awhile and either Tmac or Yao will come back late in the season. The rockets need to keep TMACs contract so they can get that one more piece to go with all these great role players.

    Woah!

If they'd take Yao for Rubio + expirings I'd be all over that!

We want to hang on to Yao because we HAVE TO now right?

Personally I am upset Rockets didn't offer more to Gortat.

Its gonna suck seeing him in Dallas.

Arizza for Artest I don't think is a terrible deal.

Ariza got called for a flagrant on Rudy that led to him leaving the court on a stretcher.

Ariza nearly killed Rudy with a foul last season...but if TMAC and Bobby Jackson could get along after trying to tear there heads off then they can get along.

I suspect Battier will be traded now with the pickup of Ariza.
