Kobe is the biggest crybaby in basketball. Every game he jumps up and down throwing a temper tantrum. He's worse than Rasheed but yet his reputation is better than Sheed's.

You seem to post this without thinking.

Do you really think it was because of Ron, or was it because of the team? Heck, look what the team is doing now without Yao. It wasn't because of Ron. Stop sticking up for Ron over the team.

Was it that or was it Trevor playing against his former championship-winning team and a case of the nerves?

Ron played decent D on Trev but he was trying to force too much and trying to hard to 'stick it' to his former team. there was some shots that he just flat out missed (namely i believe most of his 3s were all really good looks)

not sure myself the skirmish wasnt really shown on TV well.

When people are better than you, you have to get in their head to take away their focus. This is were Shane is the master. He doesn't allow Kobe to get in his head.

TA, pay Ron or anyone else any mind and watch your game elevate.

There's no reason for Kobe to get inside Shane's head. Shane's offensive output can't even compare to Kobe's.

    You're kidding, right?

    Ron made the team tough.

This same lineup two years ago would NOT have beaten the Jazz so handedly as we did a couple of nights ago, if Ron hadn't infused his toughness onto the team last year.

Granted, the team is still doing well without Ron, but you can't deny that Ron had impact on the team.

Sure the team got to the 2nd round, and they played hard more often than not.

But I think without Artest they have the same season or better.

Wafer had better numbers as a starter than Ron did....

    :D

You're just as wrong in discounting Ron's role on the team last year and how he did bring a toughness that we NEVER had post-hakeem.

Yes, the team won...yes players on the team stepped up, but Ron was a factor in our success last season.

Did he drive me nuts? Yes. But he helped us a lot...and I think some of it has carried over into this season.

Sorry, DD...hard to type with me laughing hysterically at your post...

Your intense dislike of Ron (which, to your credit, has been consistent since we first signed him) is distorting your view of things. You completely discredit his role on last year's team and the success we had. Remember how well we defended on the wings with RON and Shane? He made bad decisions with the ball...he took ill-advised jumpers too often...but he was a big reason why we won games last season.

EDIT: But I'm sure we would have been "as good" if Brent Barry was getting his minutes...Hell, we would have been "better" :D
