Rock3tMan, you're no fun. You should know that in today's English the progression is good, gooder, goodest. If one is consistently good, then the standard is gooden.

Come on, posters... Man up. Many of you owe the OP a humble, "Touche, sir."

If Jermaine Taylor were better than Ariza, then Ariza would not be playing. Let's trust Adelman.

Dude, I'm not sure your analogy works. You picked like the easiest guitar riff of all time. How 'bout this, "Asking Ariza to be a focal of the offense is like asking a moist towelette to play Classical Gas."

    There. That is much gooder.

At this point Ariza should lose minutes to the ballboy.

Hell I bet you those kids that come into the game to clean the court every so often have better handles.

The analogy works because a paper plate lacks the tools even to play the most simplest of guitar riffs.

Whereas Trevor Ariza lacks the skill to perform the most simplest of duties (i.e. dribbling a basketball)

At this point ariza is like chris brown. even if ariza keeps sucking ra just can't quit him, even if their are better players out there.

I see. I obviously didn't give the original enough thought. My apologies. I thought you were going for 'a fish out of water' or 'square peg in a round hole' kind of thing.

gooder? Holy cow. My four year old little sister even knows that isn't a word. I think you've just proven that she's old enough for a clutchfans account.

I think trevor is a 12-15ppg 5 rebs 2st 3-5 option type of guy. Last night in the 3rd overtime, he made some plays and made some shots big time. Right now, he's out of position in terms of his role.I also don't think he knew what it took physically to be called upon to be a primary guy in the game. Its like I'v told guys over and over, its easier to score 15pts on a good team vs 17 on a bad team. I'm not calling the rockets bad, but when you have other good offensive players, getting good shots are very, very easy. Kenny smith avg 17 a game in sac town and he would say it till the cows came home that playing with hakeem, those were the easiest 15 pts in his life. Also, young guys struggle with shot recognition. A good shot for one player is different for another player. I don't know how muchor worse the rockkets record would be if they didn't have his talent. If you had a player in mind vs ariza then i guess it wouldn be good for arguments sake.

being loaded at the position i think we would do o. k. it has got to be hard to be judged against players that are making a lot less&doing a lot more than you and on top of that you have a 2nd round phenom behind you not to mention a beloved vet in front. for a guy playing out of position on a new team we see flashes of what we are looking for in ariza but that kind of understanding can only last so long when your a shooter not shooting well
