started tonight's game well, scoring 8 points with 2-3 from behind the arc. and then the ugly trevor ariza showed up. - blatant hack (lazy defense) on Danilo Gallinari - 2 on 2 fast break,AB uncovered, Nate has established position outside of the semicircle, Ariza keeps it for himself and charges over Nate - commits a foul on the very next play, obviously frustrated, and yells, at 9:00 PM, "F()CK!" for all of the My20 viewers and courtside patrons to hear loud and clear. Budinger subs in for Ariza, immediately. not looking good for Ariza. methinks Morey will offer Ariza before he offers Landry, Brooks, Scola, Lowry, Budinger, Hayes, or Battier.
update: Ariza gets put back into the game, and 15 seconds into the 4th quarter (@ 9:20 PM) he picks up his 5th foul. Battier starts running to the scorer's table, and Ariza slowly walks to the end of the bench, scratching his head. He takes a seat at the end of the bench, puts both hands on the back of his head and leans back. Very disgusted. Bull, Bill, & Clyde remark that "sometimes you just have one of those games... you need to just go let it wash off in the shower and not let it bother you." (paraphrased)
I see nothing wrong with being frustrated, its not like he was pissed off at Battier or any of his teamates.
what happened today? all iheard was him dropping the f bomb and storming to the bench after his 5th foul.
I was rolling at the nuclear F-bomb dropped by Ariza but I do feel bad for the dude. Five personal fouls, and the last he picked up as soon as he entered the game. As our commentating trio stated, he just needs to wash it off and look ahead. He played a good game. I don't really see where the whole "hostility" between Brooks and Ariza is coming from, but I did see him grinning near the end of the 4th after his teammate (Landry?) scored.
The quality stuff I'm smoking emphatically says that the more Ariza plays the lower his trade value gets. Do it now!
