It makes you wonder how Morey's number crunching stuff works when evaluating players. For example, does it not take into consideration when a guy is playing with the best player in the league and a bunch of other guys who either are or very close to being All Stars?
wheres bob sacamando now huh were u at little P%$$y thats what i thought i keep sayin that boy is trash now we stuck with that garbage contract for 5 more years.
LOL I dont care what his title was, how much he was getting paid, or whether or not he was in the teams long term plans, but even the washed up, has been version of McGrady makes us a better team THIS YEAR. Trevor Ariza has been a DISASTER on the court this year. You can sit here all day and try to make excuses for him, but the bottom line he is just as bad, if not worse than McGrady at everything this year. Offense, passing, effort, attitude, defense....everything.
Check my posts. I am not a fan of Ariza at all. In fact, I might be the original Ariza hater based on the fact I hated the trade from day one. I'm just pointing out the fact to my young friend, Tmac1, that the McGrady hate was very rational and based in reality. Let's keep this thread about hating Ariza.
You are the one who brought up McGrady friend. I just find it hilarious that you would accuse T_mac1, one of the most objective observers in the whole ordeal, of being blind to McGrady. There are so many double standards here, it is beyond ridiculous.
Actually, he brought up McGrady. Not sure how you missed that considering you quoted the post where I quoted him bringing up McGrady. This is sig worthy for sure. Stop crying, Nancy, and go to bed.
Morey's first mistake? Maybe that's what we get for taking a Laker. I mean, self-entitled, whiny, thinks he is better than he is...the writing was on the wall.
there is a huge difference between "hate" and "criticism." for the most part, ariza is being "criticized" right now for his poor play (though some are starting to dislike the guy b/c of his demanding attitude on the court for wanting shots.). tracy was "hated" on for the most part. i might like mcgrady, but i have said time and time again that i do agree with some of the criticisms thrown at him throughout the years. but some of the absurd things many say about the guy (check this out: when tracy is on the bench in street clothes, he's actually being blamed when we lose. no lie). if tracy mcgrady was simply being criticized, this board would be so much better.
Please t_m, don't make it a mcgrady thread. he should rest in peace. every single person gets a handful of criticism here on the bbs.
Not crying at all, don't really care, just laughing at how silly some of the sheep are when they make judgements. Reminds me of the hillbilly's with no teeth protesting public health care because someone told them too.
seriously......i was wondering the same, what he hell is this yapping at his teammates. he think's he's kobe or something. i respect the way he played for the lakers. but damn when i saw him take a swing at someone after losing the ball. what the hell was that? i don't know if that winning a championship got to his head. but we don't need another tmac on this team.
to be fair i dont know if brooks is freezing him out or just doesnt see him. brooks' court vision is something to be desired.
nice post....i think thats just always been ariza's personality. hes a low key guy and i think losing his younger brother at a young age might've jaded him.
He did the same thing to Sasha last year and got in his face for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdSxOciAWEs Also to Kobe in the Finals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKshgJwb_ac lol
Man, this stuff gets so predictable. Player isn't playing as well as he should, player becomes evil in fans' eyes. It's like an automatic switch that turns on when your fg% dips around or below 40%. "He's a ballstopper!! He's a cancer!! His teammates hate him!! He's not a team player!! I want him off my team!! It can't possibly be that he's just shooting the ball poorly. It can't possibly be that he's shooting too many long jumpers (something Morey has stated multiple times is what is asked of him). No, he's just a punk! (as long as he's shooting poorly, atleast)
He has been a punk everywhere he has been, took an elbow swing in a game THIS year... Ask Portland and Rudy Fernandez what a punk he is.... This is nothing new here, it is just a continutation of the same character flaws manifested in Houston. DD
We aren't stuck with Ariza's contract. It shouldn't be a hard contract to trade since teams should know he would be a good role player.
