    Good point.

But truth be told, we still don't know if Lee sucks with our team.

Ariza may have an attitude problem or might not. We can't say for sure until things play out with both their careers.

But yeah "trade = sucks" is far from always true.

And to stay on topic, Ariza wasn't bad. He can get all the minutes he wants (with no SF logjam for minutes) with N.O. and Chris Paul will improve his FG% and game. All while still getting paid that nice contract.

Lee is a better fit for this team. He is FAST. And an excellent defender. I just wish we got more out of the trade than just him. A pick would have been nice.

You can't overlook the $10 million in savings this year.....I know it doesn't do much for us fans but it helps the organization in their quest to buy picks etc.

Thank you for everything you've done for hip-hop. Oh wait, we're not talking about RZA? Oh, umm.. Thanks for getting us Courtney Lee and a $6.3 million TE.

Ariza was a very good defender, he wasn't at Shane Battier in his prime level but he was very good.

I see why we made the trade, but by no means does this make our team better immediately, unless both Lee, Battier, Budinger and Martin step up their defensive games a good clip from what we saw of them last year. Having Yao and Miller will help but one on one, even a healthy Shane while better defensively lacked the offensive tools Ariza had.

Better judgment on shot selection, but Ariza could actually get to basket and not look like he is going in slow motion.

He is also a better fit because he is a SG and we needed a legit backup. He is a good on ball defender and has a good shooting touch.

We now have a 6.3 mil trade exception to use in a future trade. That is going to be great for Morey to work with. (put that with Jeffries exp and that equals 12 mil)

I'll miss the crafty play. Come on back if things don't work out in New Orleans!
