piss on sweeping generalizations and stereotypes like this. two thumbs down. I stand by my statement, but I regret making it if it's going to turn this thread into the freaking d&d. apologies, all.

No, I have to agree with you. The 1st thing I thought of when I heard "Arian Nation" was "Aryan Nation" the white supremacist group. As a brother who's had several up close and personal encounters with the KKK, it made me wince.
The whole point is to discredit and poke fun at those pathetic white supremacist groups. I'm sure they would approve of a Black man being the head of the Arian Nation. That's the part that makes it funny.

No, it doesn't. It was funny in a comedy skit because not even the main character knew he himself was black. It's not funny nicknaming someone after such a horrible organization. It just isn't.
really? that's the first thing of when you saw Arian? Keep in mind, you saw it in the title of a thread.... in a Subcategory dedicated to the Texans, Astros, Dynamo...and after a Texans player, named Arian, just had an amazing opening day that was being talked about in all football circles? Keeping all of that in mind.. when you saw Arian, the first thing you thought was white supremacist?! not the Running back? sounds like you have other issues
no one is going really going to nickname him the Arian Nation..that's why it's funny....because it's silly.
The father, once a football man, believed in the power of the stars and the sky. This is still the age of Aquarius, he told the mother when their second son was about to be born. The name Arian spoke to him. He looked it up. It meant water-bearer, holder of knowledge. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AlRDwsAtz6G0mvw5rVcifNpDubYF?slug=lc-fosterjourney091510

Disingenuous. He saw "Arian Nation", not "Arian". And there to be several folks who took exception, so you would do well to back away from telling anyone he has "issues". Why so defensive?
You should be mad at Arian's parents for naming him, well, Arian (and not Aryan, by the way). Of course, I completely disagree with what you're saying.
His parents named him Arian . Your acting insensitive and immature by calling him Arian Nation (hell it doesn't even rhyme).
What do you mean, it doesn't even rhyme? It's the fanclub name . He's just the leader of the Arian Nation. Oh, and by the way: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3005/2959047460_2f0e5edc64_o.jpg After an Arian Foster TD.
