I think these 3 practices with Washington will determine if we continue to look outside the team for a RB to bolster the position. It gets way more testier when they practice against an opposing team. It will be much more physical and a good barometer for what they have/don't have. I would expect any changes to come after this week, once they're back in the H.
Excited about Polk, he wouldn't be some diamond in the rough if he does well. He was one of the top rbs of his class but his stock tanked because of his shoulder. Just one of those things where if you don't shine at the right time, the rest of the league moves on, and there's always another class of RBs to be excited about in the next draft. Looking back, the 2012 class was like the xfiles for one-and-done rbs.
Either our front office didn't do their due diligence on what it was going to take to sign PT or his agent tried to pull a fast one and Rick Smith told him to take a hike.
Texans went 1-2 last season without Arian including a 30-17 beat down against NYG despite being +2 TOs. There's definitely some relevance. Palilo reported Texans didn't offer the guaranteed money Pierre wanted for going through training camp.

Perhaps, but again, the team this year has a better WR corps, more developed TE's, arguably a better QB, and a much better defense at all levels. Also, we're talking about 8 games.
I had the same injury if it's the adductor being reattached. However the recommendation from the doctor was no surgery because the surgery takes longer to recover from and the outcomes are no better than not having surgery. I also saw a study that talked about adductor being torn off the bone and specifically how it related to NFL players that reiterated what the doctor had said. I'm curious if is the same procedure. Anyhow...it took me about 4 months to recover without surgery. I imagine if I did rehab at a pro athlete level then I could have got better in 8 to 12 weeks. Hope he makes it back this year.
I think with Foster they are considering it a chronic injury because of how often he's had troubles with it. I think I read that they suggest surgery for chronic groin injuries.
Folks, a mere balky groin has kept people out for entire seasons before. He might get 20-30 carries this year, but they will be spread out between bouts of setbacks and more trips to the doctor, and the carries will be weak and fruitless. I hate to say it, but I think Arian has played his last meaningful football as a Texan.
Had to Google "balky groin" because I didn't know what that was, but Clemens had it in 2001: http://nypost.com/2001/07/29/rocket-hurt-in-yank-win-balky-groin-throws-scare-into-bombers/ Hope this doesn't mean Arian is on roids.
They are talking about reattaching but they may also cut it the tendon involved. When the tendon grows back, its supposed to come back stronger than before. If they are saying short term IR then I am thinking 8-10 games missed. If they were really worried about it being season ending, they likely would have given PT the guarantees he wanted.
Why? Millions of people don't believe in god, I for one don't. Neither does my wife who was brought up devout catholic. It isn't much of anything nowadays to not partake in religion.
