Yep, like the swallows returning to Capistrano, SSG has returned to the Texans forum. Now everyone pay no attention to him and all will be well.
I know this doesn't happen in the NFL, but I wonder if the Bengals would bite on a 2nd round pick for Gio Bernard since Hill seems to be their main guy there.

I want Grimes to get a shot. I thought he looked good in his limited time last year and in preseason, I'm assuming he had issues in pass block coverage like many young backs do. Blue just does not have enough high-end speed to be a feature back - he needs to be short yardage only. Pierre Thomas is a 3rd down back. BJGE I might be okay with if Arian is actually coming back this season.
Is restructuring his deal totally out of the question? I don't really pay attention to salary cap stuff in the NFL. With his injury history and now this, I don't see how he can expect any sort of large payday.
http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=A00573 The link has information on sports hernia recovery times. It says if surgery is successful then recovery time can be 12 weeks. If surgery is the route, Arian is making sure the right surgeries are performed now.
What happened to Ben Tate? Why isn't he a consideration? He seemed like a quality back for a while but I lost track of him after he left. I see he is still a free agent is only 26.
He has one year left on his deal and it's 9MM. Top 3 RB type money. You can save 7.5MM by cutting him. Unless he was great (if not elite) this year, he was a goner. By the start of next season he'll be 30 with almost as many injuries as touches. No way in hell he stays a Texan. Some goober owner will overpay him.
Right, that's why I asked about the possibility of restructuring at a lower guarantee but for a couple of extra years. Maybe you're right and there is a high$ market for him, but I just don't see it.
I get the feeling he burned bridges on his way out of Houston with the front office, he did with the fans (calling them wishy washy). I've read rumors he was a problem in the locker room in Cleveland as well. He was a great backup here, hope he can get a shot somewhere.

Not understanding all the people saying we go from a 7-9 team to worse than that... I understand we just got worse but what debbie downers have us below .500? we were 9-7 last year after going 2-14, new coach, 4 QB's, and no Foster for 3 games.. Why the hell would your start us this year (with Foster) below 8 wins?? I think we got a lot better this offseason up until now. I'd say without Foster for 8 games, we still go 9-7 and a wild card
Because without a RB they finally pulled their heads out of the sand and realized how bad the QB situation will be.
