Sometimes the tension occurs due to arguments over the allocation of shot attempts. Our Average field goal attempts for the past 3 years are 82 (81.7) 2017-18 season: Harden+Paul+Gordon = 53 field goal attempts per game Let's say GG get 7 field goal attempts per game. I'd like to know how to make Melo and Knight better this season? What is your allocation of 22 field goal attempts for the following 5 players: Capela Tucker Melo (average 15 FGAs in 2017-18 season) Knight (average 10 FGAs in 2016-17 season) James Ennis Assumption: MCW and Chriss have average zero field goal attempts https://stats.nba.com/team/1610612745/shots-dash/
Capela 10 Field Goal Attempts per game Tucker 6 Ennis 6 Total 22 Melo and Knight have zero field goal attempts per game. Melo and Knight are not a good fit for the team?
I think Paul, Gordon, Knight and Melo's shots all decrease. Ennis and Green fill the hole left by Ariza. It might be interesting to look at how Durant changed Curry and Klay's shot attempts. And then wonder how Cousins will affect things too.
Paul decreases FGA from 17 to 12, then give it to Melo? Gordon decreases FGA from 13 to 8, then give it to Knight? 5 FGAs is not enough for Melo and Knight to create the new chemistry. Melo is not a good passer any more. I am thinking to deal Melo and Knight for a defensive player.
There is no way that Melo is traded since he agreed to come here for a minimum contract. Ariza left 9-10 shots per game, which Melo will take. Moute leaves 5-6, Which Ennis will take. Knight is the big question. Eric Gordon has 14 FGA. I could see him go to 10 FGA, and Knight takes 5 FGA from Paul and Gordon.
I suggest that we increase minutes and 6 shot attempts for Capela. Last year 8, this year 14 I'd give shot attempts to Capela, not to Melo or Knight.
Green avg 7 a game is a scary thought. Knight playing meaningful minutes is straight horrifying. Capela doesn’t shoot. Melo will get the ball don’t worry Mrs. Anthony...
Melo might not be as effective as last year if you decrease his FTA from 15 to 10. It is questionable if you decrease Gordon's, then give it to Melo.
I think hardens FGA will drop . The more options you give him , the more he looks to pass .... and use the threat of his game to open up shots for others . I think harden might fall to 24-5 ppg this year on better efficiency than in the past .
I'm hopin Harden gets a bit more rest - so a few less shots... same with CP3, etc... longer rotations and fresher for the playoffs! My ideal would be something like: Harden 17 (-3 from LY) CP3 12 (-1.8) Melo 11 (-4.0) CC 11 (+.9) PJ 5 (-.6) EGo 12 (-2.1) GG 6 (-4.1) thats 74 for the 7 man core rotation... Ennis/Knight/MCW/Chriss/Nene splitting 8 depending on whos gettin on the floor...
No. Gordon is a efficient scorer who is our primary secondary unit scorer. If anything he has been under-utilised for the last two years. Melo will be playing the role Ryno successfully playing in his first season here. I can also see Tucker’s offensive load being lessened so he can concentrate more on Defense this season
You're pretty inconsistent for a troll. Improve your troll game then come back to us. (Context of the second quote is regarding Melo)
