this is specifically for people blocking roads. **** those people. blocking roads is not a peaceful protest. I would also point out that all the candidates for Argentinian PM supported these measures

The act of simply blocking roads, like sitting in to block, is considered a peaceful protest. While it can be very annoying and cause all kinds of issues, violence isn't inherently one of them. I don't personally approve of it, but I would be much more concerned about using military forces to crack down on those protests if it were to happen here in the States.

wrong. acts of force are violence. If you forcibly deny me the ability to go down a road i am allowed to have access to just because you want to scream about something then you are a) violent b) a piece of ****. Cracking down on these violent thugs is common.

    For example:

I applaud this guy for going after these idiots. People have died because ambulances couldn't get through. These guys are assholes. Put them in jail.

Violence: behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something.

Sitting still in one place isn't an act of violence, no matter how annoying or inconvenient it might be for others.

blocking someone from going somewhere they are allowed to go is violence. its an act of force. The same way blocking a doorway is violence or walking into my house and not leaving.

Non-violent sit-ins from the American Civil Rights movement disagree. Dr. King feels differently.

If I may extend your logic on what constitutes violence, consider this: a baby lying at the doorway blocking my way is an act of violence

Many of those protesters remain nonviolent (not retaliating) even when facing violence.

It's amazing to see the twisted logic, a logic that is likely used to justify violence against nonviolent protesters.

is the baby trying to force you to not enter ? obviously not since a baby can't think of such things.

This is just populism for the weak minded.

I hope Argentina can figure out its issues, but it would seem like both left and rightwing populism always gets in the way there.

Violence: behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something.

    Intention is a factor.

Obviously, the baby has no intention of hurting, damaging, or killing anyone. Not an act of violence.

Similarly, a sit-in peaceful protest has no intention of hurting, damaging, or killing anyone. Not an act of violence.

I’m curious but did you consider this a
    Violent protest?

The world needs more leaders like this.

Germany and the EU with their insane bureaucracy would need this more than anyone.
