It's more likely because there is a large margin of victory and it's a popular vote between 2 candidates in a run-off election. It doesn't take a large sample size to make a projection of who won the election.

For example, it usually doesn't take long to figure who won the electoral votes in Texas on election night because the margin of victory.

If the US goes to a popular vote for presidency, I doubt it would take nearly as long to project the result.

For all of you rallying around him based on the "libretarian" label, he calls himself an "anarcho-capitalist", which is probably going to be a much harder label to sell the boys down at the John Birch Society potluck dinner.

When facing 100000% inflation, people tend to do crazy things. Madman with a chance of change is preferable to maintaining the status quo. Attempting to attribute the outcome of this to any movement (bitcoin) or individual (Trump) beyond the country’s borders is a stretch and is rather silly.

Best wishes to the people of Argentina.

From that article, it is due to technical issues (nonfunctional machines and a shortage of machines, causing prolonged delays— the machines were not inaccurate or manipulated, a belief held by many Trump supporters).

It's noteworthy that Argentine election officials heeded the judge's advice and implemented changes (switching to paper ballots) to minimize wait times for voters. The 'mockery' referred to by the judge was a wait time of up to 2 hours, which is not uncommon in the US. US election officials not only routinely overlook this issue but, in certain areas, welcome it as a means to discourage voting.

We will see if he is as good at running the country as he is at talking about how to run a country. Maybe he will be good at turning this mess around, he is people's choice.

Are there no Argentinians here? We must have some Argentinian fans from the Luis Scola days, no?
