Are you smarter than a 5th grader is stupid, they pick up the most trivial questions. They then expect people who have been out of elementary school for 25 years and expect them to know the minutia. Intellect has nothing to do with it.
They should call the show "Are you dumber than a 5th grader?" not smarter, it would make more sense. Or maybe "Are you a middle-aged idiot?" That one has pizazz.

This should all be common knowlede. On half of them, you can deduce the answer from the question. To the constestants' credit, however, game show questions are probably a lot easier to answer in your living room than they are on the set.
there are quite a few idiots on deal or no deal too. i "love" seeing the fools risk 6 figures when they have something as high as 33% chance of choosing the big amounts. that's usually the best about deal or no deal, when they risk it all.
i laughed at this show until I forgot how many teaspoons are in a tablespoon. the show is obviously racist. no chinese person ever uses teaspoons or tablespoons. our measure=ment standard consist of "just a little" "not too much" and "a lot'.
