more like 2 times in 48 hrs :D but I guess guys are missing my point. McGrady is the highest player, yeah we know, but he is hurt and is out for the season. I read people's comments saying McGrady is soft blah blah blah he is injured blah blah blah Artest has more heart cause he plays injured blah blah blah. McGrady plays injured and now he is hurting the team. He needs to sit until he is healthy. People need to make up there minds in what they want LOL.

Sorry to hear that the Rockets didn't help. Have you tried the NBA to see if this is something the NBA Care's program could look into?

I'm putting together a project with Rhester to bring some students from the U of MN to help with Hurricane Ike recovery in Surfside and Rhester mentioned something about getting the Houston Rockets organization involved. This may be you just have to know the right people in the organization.

Anyway you're more than welcome to help us with the rebuilding even if you aren't a Rocket. :D

I disagree about the Oilers. Houston hasn't been the same since they left, not for me. And if the Rockets left, it would be a huge hole in the fabric of the city. Thanks to people like Jeff and Clutch, we still get to be fans. I think it's a pretty big deal. Yes, life is some serious ****, but our teams let us forget that for awhile. That's important to me.

You call out the BBS questioning their fandom and then mock the Rockets' legacy?

    Ok.

hey my only problem with T-mac is that he has lied to our face multiple times this season in regards to his knee. The guy who said "he worked his tail off during the off season". Then we find out 6 months later that he didn put in work during the offseason. The same guy who as a month ago said his knee is better "im back to my old self" until they lose to crappy teams and then he says "it doesnt feel right". Last week he said he wasnt going to have surgery that it was a last option. He hears his name in a couple of trade rumours and now he has to have surgery. The craziest part about all of this is from day 1 to now every report/dr feedback has said there has been no change at all to his knee. Players get hurt all the time, players struggle thru injuries and rehab all the time, to expect Tmac is any diffrent is crazy, but i think it is a very reasonable expectation for him to show some class and integrity that you would expect from a "franchise player" to be honest and upfront with your franchise and fan base. I think Tmac is great player and can still be an effective player, but the unfortunate part is that next year we probably wont have artest, battier, yao and rafer will be a year older, and he will probably be playing for a contract and not for the sucess of the rockets.

So tragic cause I had such high hopes for this season!

Its funny that in all these posts that jkilla did, he never once responded on the fact that the players that most fans like I are unhappy with, are because those players are giving up on us. You can tell just by watching mcgrady especially. Watching almost every game since 1990 i can definately say that I have NEVER seen a player look so nonchalant about games. I understand if your injured, but players of his status are supposed to show the fight in them. You can always tell when a hurt player really wants to win. I dont see any of that fire. I have not seen this lately from Tmac, Im starting not to like watching him play. Only one that was doing worse than him in effort was francis, that says alot. I know if they at least expressed a little passion even when they are having down days. And im not speaking just for tracy, we got other players who you just dont see any fire when they should. Its like if they are doing something in their off time or personal life like partying or dealing with some kind of stress. I have never seen this before, and watching them for 19 years, I think I know when i see a rocket player "lacking" a little heart. I mean if these guys are truly suffering to the point where their performance is this poor, at least let us the fans know about it, pass a few messages to the PR guy so we can know what is the deal and maybe understand what we didnt know before. So my question to the thread starter: Do you think a fan should have to see their players act in this manner, do you even see this even going on with the players?

And why you think about this (and I hope your thinking) remember when Dikembe pulled weight for YAO....... have you seen this type of effort done by any of the players that you claim were "just bashing".??

Larry, Michael and Magic apply as well......

Athletes can inspire us to do greater things, and be better people.

Rocky was not just "Boxing". James Braddock was not just "Boxing".
Ali, Big George coming out of retirement, etc... There are many cases
where an athlete has carried a community/city/country in bad times times...
    It is about hope.

Did you cry when Magic got HIV?
