Serves the campus right for coming up with something as stupid as "TU". Win your bowl for once and then talk.

I must have missed the video the first time.

Good LORD, that guy is a MORON. He goes on and on with this incoherent story about a Penn State fan who yelled "whoooo" and got run over by a truck, or something to that effect?

Then, when he starts to figure out that his weird story isn't going over as well as he had hoped, he starts just yelling equally incoherent and random obscenities about Penn State fans.

EDIT: Here's a picture of the guy:

As a proud Aggie, I can say that I am appalled at what was said. It is not representative of what is taught on campus. This kid needs to be held accountable, and not be allowed to represent the university again.

    No excuses...this was just awful.

Judging by your signature line, it looks like you go to Baylor. That actually makes it ok. The whole Hwy 6 rivalry and all.

Ive been at TAMU more years than any normal human should spend in college. Only met 1 normal core guy my entire life. They seem brainwashed, in their own world. I dont get it. I dont care for it. Not many people at the school do. Maybe back in the day it meant something. Now its a joke way to slide into a good university.

This kid once said he asked his superior what the cost would be if he called him by his name. This kid was all happy and jolly like this was a great story/memory/and something to be proud of... The superior said, "I get to beat yo up for 5 minutes", or something. So this kid gets his ass handed to him by a bunch of yonkies and probably loved every minute of it. Just to say the guys real name? WTF? I was like where is this guy, lets see how much it costs me to call him a $#$# sucker.

TAMU's achievements in science and medical industries (and other industries) have been outstanding and are an excellent representation of the university and the state of Texas.

The cult-like fanaticism and outright childish behavior of many of TAMU's students, faculty, and alumni and are a detriment and blemish to the university and to the state of Texas.

And these statements are true for other Texas colleges as well.

Texas A&M red-faced over 'casket' comment at pep rally

    Associated Press

    Updated: December 28, 2007, 2:20 PM ET

Texas A&M Is Sorry for Paterno Casket Comment

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Texas A&M officials have apologized to Penn State administrators for a student leader's references to needing a "casket" for coach Joe Paterno.

One A&M yell leader, during a pep rally Thursday night, told the crowd that Paterno was "on his death bed" and "someone needs to find him a casket." The remarks drew boos from the crowd.

Paterno turned 81 last week. Penn State faces A&M on Saturday night in the Valero Alamo Bowl.

A&M team spokesman Alan Cannon said Friday he did not know the name of the yell leader, though the student has been sent home.

The yell leaders -- similar to cheerleaders -- are A&M's official spirit organization and lead fans' cheers during games and other school events. They are elected by the student body.

Some A&M and Penn State fans said the student's remarks were offensive and inappropriate.

I think everybody has to take things with a grain of salt. ... Some young guy went up there, trying to be funny. Maybe he's accurate, I don't know.

--Joe Paterno, on Texas A&M yell leader saying he's "on his death bed"

Paterno, at a news conference Friday at the Alamodome, said he was backstage with Aggies interim coach Gary Darnell when the comments were made, but did not hear them.

"I think everybody has to take things with a grain of salt," Paterno said. "Some young guy went up there, trying to be funny. Maybe he's accurate, I don't know."

Texas A&M's interim president, Eddie Davis, and athletic director Bill Byrne later apologized to their Penn State counterparts.

"I honestly didn't hear it, and I don't particularly care about it," Paterno said Friday. "Sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you."

Paterno, a 42-year head-coaching veteran, is about to enter the last year of a four-year contract that expires following the 2008 season.
