i'm not screaming at you...but holy crap, i'm tired of hearing that this is about being 0-3. for a ton of us, this farrrrrrrrrrr preceded 0-3. a whole lot of us have been saying for quite a while now that it was time to move on. that we'd seen the best days of yao...that we knew before we drafted him, we weren't drafting a long career, given his size. i'm tired of this franchise being married to a guy who can't play. who over the last 4 seasons has missed about as many games as he's played. who, nevertheless, is the player they all defer to when he does play. and who, this season, can play some games but not others and only 1/2 of those games that he can play. it's enough already. seriously. i realize a bunch of you have emotional connection with the man...and that's great. he's a great guy. but holy crap, i'm tired of it.

Really? I thought every team had some bench players who don't play many minutes. So they're all screwed.

Yao Ming is not even close to a typical bench player....

He moves like a mac truck and barely able to get off the floor. Don't see him getting better. Be nice if Morey can use him to get Melo.

I have a theory on the 24 minute magic number.

I don't think it has anything to do with the structural integrity of his surgically repaired foot. I think it has more to do with the negative conditioning effect that a year of inactivity has had on Yao's legs. Specifically, I think they are trying to ensure that Yao doesn't pick up a second injury from moving with incorrect body mechanics that he develops compensating for fatigue and discomfort in the weak leg.

The limit exists to control exertion, not stress. I suspect they have a physical medicine doc watching his body mechanics and that his behavior under exertion will determine his minute cap.

Not bad, but I would be shocked if the Rockets were that organized......they have never been before...lol.

Then it is time for the Rockets to move on.

Nah, I don't worry about things that are completely outta my control. I roll with the punches when/if they come.

They treated T-Mac the same way in terms of imposing a hard minute cap after the knee surgery.

    And the preaching continues

    Now 0-4

Solutions: Trade Yao or take of all restraints.

7"6'' behemoth with no lift, terrible hand-eye coordination, league-worst conditioning, average at-best D around the rim due to no elevation and slow feet, clogs the lane on offense and disrupts rhythm... wait, why is the 2010 version of Yao so special?

I've been done with him for a while.

Its a joke that we seriously are trying to rely on a player who hasn't played a full season in half a decade.

Yao has done some nice accomplishments for this franchise. But the day he is out of a Rockets roster is the day we move a step towards seriously competing again.

Half of the Mcgrady/Yao era is gone. Time to send off the other half.

We shouldn't trade him. At this point Yao is worth nothing good in trade value anyways. Well... maybe as foreign market bait, but why would Les give that up for peanuts? Yao will finish his season out in Houston first so we can all see where that takes us. If Yao gets injured, he retires and we get his injury exception next season and probably hire him on to the Rockets staff in some sort of consultation role. If Yao does really bad, he may probably retire. If Yao does mediocre, Houston may sign him on for a massively reduced contract and as a backup. If Yao does good and seems more durable, then hopefully he will sign for cautious conditional contract, much like the type McNabb from NFL recently signed. Prior to his sprain, Yao did look productive, just rusty. I personally think that he is still injury prone, but let's hope he can prove me wrong or lottery here we come.

Are we that good? Last season we were over-achieved and only 42. This season 30 looks more reasonable.
