VERY PROUD AND LOOK AT THE UPCOMING FREE AGENTS WE NEED SOME BIG GUARDS AND A POWER FORWARD GET RID OF WAFER HEAD HAYES AND JACKSON I LIKE HARRIS THOUGH
If anyone (seriously) answers no to this question, they need to have their head examined and their fanship revoked. Our franchise center out for last part of the season and playoffs. Our other star player out for a huge chunk as well, and had a hurt shoulder in the playoffs. We relied heavily on two rookies (three at times) who improved exponentially throughout the season. Rafer stepped up like no one could have imagined. Battier's defense was jaw-dropping at times. Deke found the fountain of youth while we were without Yao. We freaking won TWENTY-TWO games in a row. It definitely sucks to lose to the Jazzholes, but I haven't been this proud of our Rockets since the championship years.
Wait a minute...what are you saying exactly? I may be misreading your post, but are you saying the current roster of Rocket's would be unable to contend? We almost stole a series from the Jazz, a team to be one of the elite contenders, missing our all-star center and our point guard from half the series. Not to mention injuries to McGrady and Battier. If we are healthy there is no one better. Period. We were only beginning to see it when Yao went down. I am immensely proud of this team as currently constructed. To do what they did in the face of so much adversity, remarkable. Can't wait till next year to give it another shot. By the way Hmm, if I did misinterpret post, please disregard. I'm really not sure.
How can you not be proud of this team? My second favorite team since the championship teams. The first being the Yao/T-Mac/Bobby Sura squad.
no you did not. and the problem is, you're only looking as far as the Jazz series. a team some consider to be elite contenders but just didn't show it in a series against, as you said, a team missing their all-star center and starting point guard.. a healthy rocket's team against Utah this year? we win, without question.. that round..
I love the rockets, I love t-mac, I love Yao, I can not calm myself even the game has ended for nearly 2 hours. what a performance T-mac has put on!
Hell yes I'm proud. There is not another team in the NBA I would rather pull for even if I was not already a long time Rockets fan. No team in the NBA including the Spurs, Pistons or Celtics has more heart, grit and determination than this team.
Every year there is a champaign, but probably there is only one team winning 22 in a role in this century. Go Rockets!!!
I am very proud of this team. They played with heart, but the injuries really hurt the season. I just hope that will not be the case next year, because with some roster change we will be force next year.
Who's all getting surgery? I heard Mac is, but is it confirmed? What about Rafer? Landry getting his tooth implant?
Pssh... How could I be proud of a team that ONLY won 22 games in a row and didn't even make it out of the first round of the playoffs? Geeze, talk about a failure... Really though, next year is your time, Rockets!
