Holic is a so called 'insider' but he does lack the humor. Also he goes against what the mainstream believes. If we are capped out, he is optimistic af.....but if we have space to sign FAs, he is pessimistic.
It would be one thing if we didn't hear all this "win at all costs" talk …. The other is … the repeater tax was 4 years away minimum this past season , why are you throwing away assets to duck the tax 4 years from now rather than trying to win now and dumping assets / contracts later. You can always give away players to duck the tax line , no reason to hurt your chances at winning today to avoid it later.
I guess where I'm taking issue with him is the fact that he actually creates thread, like this one, rather than just inserting his character/schtick into existing threads. Maybe I'll eventually put him on ignore (maybe it'll be today who knows?) but I don't see what value it brings to this board to constantly creating threads to criticize (sarcastically or not) a player, the team, the organization or all of the above. It only shows the newer members that "holy ****! you mean I, too, can be a dick and create nonsensical threads too!!???" At least Jopat keeps his posts within other threads and not create endless threads about his insider information.
Yeah, recently his sarcasm is directed at Fertitta only though. Fertitta is an easy target to make jokes about.
