"no" you don't remember, or "no" you're not stoked about the movie? anyway, the scene was something like this: a kid falls asleep on the couch, see's weird colors on the tv, freddy starts controlling him with a videogame controller (making him run through walls, hitting his head on the ceiling, etc.), a different kid takes the controller from freddy, freddy locks himself in his room and then reveals to the powerglove to the kids, and that's when he says it. remember now? no? damn. ok.
LOL! Great one OS, but I was just doing part three. Having a personal marathon with the old VHS right now, and that one's still fresh on my mind. My all-time fave has to be "bon apetit, b****!" Freddy rules.
this is the moment when the nightmare on elm street series scooped me up as a fan. if i saw something like this walking towards me in the middle of the night, i'd schit in my pants and probably slip on the schit while trying to run away. this is some scary schit. look at those arms. isn't that the freakiest thing you've ever seen? no? ok. freddy by tko.
Bold statement, my friend. Especially after Freddy's been made to look like a putz at the hands of little Nancy Thompson. Seriously though, I love both of 'em and hope they manage to kiss and make up by the end. There's a rejected script online where they team up at the end and kick the ass of this uber demon.
So... What did you think? * possible spoilers * I haven't seen it but my sister just got back. Apparantly, Freddy can only exist if people remember him. Because people are starting to forget, he resurrects Jason and gets him to kill people so that people start to think about all the murders that Freddy committed in the past. Or, something like that... However, Jason doesn't stop when Freddy tells him to and they get into a big rumble and stuff. Anyway, neither of them really wins and neither of them dies. *cough* sequel *cough*. Sounded disappointing to me... Probably won't see it myself.
call me a nerd, but i cant wait for someone to make alien vs predator. batman vs superman. robocop vs terminator. haha eh ghostbusters vs ninja turtles while were at it my prediction: freddy jason will make a ton of money and people will start making these movies that previously werent seen as money makers. yes, seriously.
If they had an Alien vs Predator movie I'd be first in line damnit. anyway on the subject Jason has 2/3 odds while Freddy is a remarkable 7/5
ahhh... i see. "CALLING THE DEPARTMENT OF THE REDUNDACY DEPARTMENT!" you can't type that, madmax. some people consider sarcastic people to be jerks, so basically you said "i'm being a sarcastic jerk jerk". it's almost as bad as saying "towering 7'6" guy. you need to work on your writing immediately. no pleonasm is allowed.
Awesome movie. Perfect ending. Nit-picky fanboy complaints: The classic Jason rampage theme was missing. Kane Hodder is a better Jason. Too few Freddy quips (he had nice ones, but no real classics like his prime of Nightmare 3-5). Other than that, a perfect blending of the two mythos. Loved that they threw in Jason's mom, but where was Amanda Krueger? Seeing Jason at 1428 Elm Street was surreal. I will see this multiple times. Waiting for Omega's Krueger pics now.
man, anti... i'm so jealous right now. my arse is sitting here at work and doing nothing. i will see it tonight though... but unfortunately, without the costume. my coworkers (who went with me last time) decided that it wasn't worth seeing. (those bastards!!! ) soooo, i didn't want to go alone and look like an idiot with anybody else there not to talk to. oh well... thanks for the positive review on the movie.
omega's short friday night out: the trailers for upcoming movies started at 9:45. it's funny because most of the trailers seemed to be for horror movies. i was surprised to see that the sold out theater all applauded when they saw the "texas chainsaw massacre" one. it looked pret-ty good. another trailer... scary movie 3... OMG!!! that is going to be hilarious! part 1 was so stupid that it was funny, part 2 was so stupid that it was stupid, and part 3 looks like it will be so stupid and funny that it's really a great movie... with funny actors also (queen latifah, eddie griffin, the naked gun guy, charlie sheen, michael jackson (an impersonator... i think), pamela anderson, etc. i will definitely see this one on opening night. jeepers creepers 2 was also shown. it looked so-so, but i thought the trailer for the first looked so-so and was surprised that it was actually a good movie. "jeepers... creepers. where'd you find those peepers!" good tune. okay... now for the movie that i went to see... FREDDY VS JASON. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! gurl, that movie wuz so goud... (oops... damn typing) anyway, what i was saying is that it's a pretty good movie. however, don't go there expecting to be scared, jumping out of your seat, or any crap like that. the whole theater was kinda like a party atmosphere. everybody was talking (again, it was a 9:45 sold out showing), enjoying themselves, and just plain happy not only to see that these guys have made a comeback, but made a comeback together. derail time... it's funny seeing a lot of the eighties pop culture stuff being resurrected (sp?). this movie, garbage pail kids (yes they're back... do a search for the "harry potty" gpk card), and "the goonies 2" is in the works. damn, i'm getting old. anyway... back to the movie... as antisonic said, it was a nice ending and they left it open for perhaps another, but hopefully they won't. this movie was the icing on the cake for BOTH series. no spoilers... you'll have to see it for yourself. freddy is the man. (by the way, this was a pretty sucky friday night out, huh?)
HELL YEAH. That was the coolest trailer ever, the theater I saw it in all exploded in applause as well, and I never thought a trailer deserved it more than that. Those moments in the dark with the sounds bouncing around from one corner of the theater to the other was just surreal. That preview definetly needed to be seen in a state of the art theater to be appreciated! Hopefully the actual movie will be just as ****-your-pants frightening.
definitely much better than i was expecting. i had seen maybe a total of 30 minutes of the two series combined before tonight but for some reason the idea really drew me in. not disappointed. i mean, the dialogue and actors won't be winning any oscars, but it wasn't terrible (and that's not why i watch movies anyway) and after the second killing the movie got going nicely. quality ending.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre trailer was another one of those notorious commercials that turn me off from a film until two years after its been on cable. I miss a lot of good movies in their theatrical run because of annoying advertisements like this. Sorry. I agree with you in the sense that if they continue each solo franchise, they could suck in comparison as seeing them together may have people spoiled now. Hey, don't knock it! That's how I spent mine too, and I had even seen it earlier in the day. ...and going to see it again as soon as the ex-ex has a day off.
