No, I don't want to bet. Anything is possible. A lot depends on how healthy Dwight is this year.

I'm saying Dwight won't get a max contract. You think he will?

Dwight deserves at least Deandre Jordan money (though I'd rather have Jordan due to age/durability), which means someone is gonna give him at least 4x 25.

The question really is who else is out there? That can give us the same type of defense but half the price.

do you see the numbers deandre jordan puts up, in comparison to dwight... jordan had 7 blocks last game plus like 20 rebounds

    Zero chance on that deal.

    Zero chance they trade Dwight.

You only hope he opts out if you can get equitable replacement or better. For example, if Durant decides Houston is it you beg Dwight to opt out. If not, then why pay more money for the year?

Well there would be 100 percent chance they trade Dwight if that deal for Anthony Davis were possible. But you're right. There is definitely zero percent chance of that. I'm not sure a GM in the league would trade Anthony Davis for anybody unless he was DEMANDING a trade and refusing to play.

If we can get Durant I'd rather him opt out and have Durant and capela.

If Rockets want to continue the run n gun 3pt offense then yes. The post up to set up the hookshot he misses more than he makes isnt what this team needs from him.

I wish he'd opt out .... and take a discount like Timmy so the team could add more talent around him.

Don't think he's worth the max anymore .... but so hard to replace him even with his flaws.

You're right, Jordan only makes 20m.... lol, puts things in perspective a bit. 30m is silly.

i'd rather just trade him at the deadline. opting out doesn't end well for the rockets, either they give him a terrible contract or lose him for nothing. opting in only postpones this decision another year. lets just do it now.

of course, i was calling for tmac to be traded 2 years before he was actually traded. when a guy's body is failing him like this, there is no coming back. better to get what we can for him now. however, many people will say "but there is no equal value when healthy" to which i reply "he wont ever be healthy again."
