We actually hope he opts in on what would be a "cheap" year

Yup. Insists on posting up when it just leads to TOs. Neutralized by the refs. Even when he plays, no longer elite.

Perfect Dwight for us these days would be, no post up running hook shots. Sets HARD picks, with hard rolls, and plays defense at his current rate.

Speaking of which, is dwight the worst screen setter in the league?

Only these numbers dont' tell the whole story.
You see a big job of good defensive centers is deterring opponents from even attacking the rim.
Dwight not only is one of the best at dettering but also pretty elite at protecting the rim when they do attack it.

29/30 year old Dwight needing to be treated like 37/39 year old Dirk Nowitzki/Tim Duncan.

I'd be down to sign Al Jefferson and say Pau Gasol with the money we'd pay Dwight..

Also, isn't Lawson a free agent too? We should focus on re-signing him as well.

Al jefferson has always played for a losing team, kinda scares me.

Morey has to be very careful about re-signing an injured prone player to a max long term deal. This could backfire big time if Dwight starts missing more than 40 regular season games.

Posters thinking that a playoff Dwight is all we need are deluding themselves, because just making the playoffs is not a guaranteed thing in the tough Western conference.

For such a durable player for his first 7-8 years with Orlando, Dwight's health is declining at a very fast pace, especially for a player who is not even 30 yet, and whose health will not most likely get better with age.

I think he would be stupid to opt out. No one is gonna pay him more than what he is currently getting

This guy is already on the Tim Duncan games by game schedule there's no way he deserves a max contract of 30 million dollars year

He'll be smart just to opt in for his current 22 million for next season

Yeah I think he's in the top 5, but looks like I might be rating him too high based on your stats.

    Rim% dwight is still behind.

Gobert, Ibaka, Bogut, Hibbert, Favors, Noel, LMA (basically the same as OPP FG%)

You look at how many points he saved per game....

Some of the guys ahead of him: Gobert, Bogut, Hibbert, Whiteside, Robin Lopez...Jordan, Cousins... the list is quite long. Maybe 30-40 people.

What else.. Contested %, the amount of opps he contests.. Dwight is like 53%. The top guy Whiteside is 79%. Long list again.
