Hell yeah, I would like to see Yao MIng in the tipoff for the beginning of the game. He's so tall, rox will win the tipoff eventually. :p
I dont think Francis can do any good. He ain't a good leader for the Rox. I suggest rox change their team leader.

Dennis 2112:- Your second half roster doesn't show much imagination regarding our young talent. If Yao,Griffin and Nachbar are not in the starting lineup after the first 20 games then there will have been a major setback or chemistry problem. These three players need the experience of playing with Francis and Mobley.IMHO Cato not even willing and Rice too late in his career, do not warrent the starting positions.

All bets are off if the young guns outplay the vets but I do not believe that Ming ,EG, or Boki are ready. Just because they may not start does not mean that they won't play big minutes....EG especially. Now if Rice breaks down ( which is a definite possibility) then Boki will get more minutes by default.

Whether EG starts or not, he will get the playing time...thats a given.

Cato...I really could care less but I feel Ming will be more successful early on playing against the backup centers. Then he can build up confidence and be ready by the end of the year ...just in time for the playoffs.

If Rice can still give you about 9-12 ppg then let him start, he will not play alot of minutes anyways due to his age. I don't think Boki will care when he plays, just as long as he plays.

I would be mad if they didn't start. Cato or Rice not starting probably means that they are injured. That is definitely not how I want to start another season.

I expect Rice & Cato both to be starters on opening night, However, I only give both of them about 10 games max as starters.
Cato will hurt his pinky finger and have to sit out 3 months. In my opinion, Rice is done, cooked, and ready for the garbage disposal.
I'll bet his back or foot or elbow or something will mysteriously keep him on the IR for most of the season so Rudy doesn't have to watch opposing small forwards blow by him all night long.

I don't want to sound so negative, but the truth hurts sometimes. The team we'll just have to turn a negative into a positive one more time.

Hopefully, this will be a blessing in disquise that propells Yao & Nachbar to take over and help Steve lead us to the promise land.
