Are you glad that we no longer have an undersized weak rebounding PF?

Good point..but wouldn't shock me that when Asik is out DMo will still have a brutal rebounding rate. He just gets outmuscled under there.
I mean...he is NEVER is position to board it. He just gets worked.

Maybe it's just me. I'd prefer a 7' starting PF. Or maybe you were talking about the length of something else. ;)

BTW, the said 7' PF is supposed to be a spread 4 too.

D-Mo is still a season or two out before he will be effective in battling due to his smaller frame. Like Dirk and Yao, he needs the playing time to get his body used to the legit player he will see night in and night out.

On the defensive end, the PF needs to box out his man no matter if he is going to get rebound or not.

On the offensive end, the PF needs to set a solid high pick for one of our guards, and roll properly and finish strong.

    That's all my expectations.

You're all wrong. We're gonna bring in reinforcements whether it's DHoward, or KLove, or JSmith. TRob may even overtake DMo for that eventual back-up PF role.

DMo really has to show he gets the defense otherwise ...

Wish our power forwards could score
One can't hit simple free throws and the other bricks jumpers repeatedly

I had to highlight that because it is so important and its something that Pat absolutely refused to do.

I think some of u guys are forgetting how good Yao was his rookie yr. you guys are saying that Yao and dirk got pushed around early like dmo therefore it's a similar situation. The fact is Yao was 7'6 280 and had the whole package. Yao made a prime Shaq work on offense and defense his rookie yr in their first matchup. Yao was a special player and was as offensively gifted as you will ever see from a big man. On top of that he was way better than dmo at rebounding defense and shooting and post play.

I just think some of you guys are getting ahead of yourselfs with dmo. Yao showed that he was gonna be a franchise player in his rookie yr dmo on the other hand has had one good game and the rest have been mediocre to very bad.

I don't think it's fair to say dmo is so great and give him a pass and then trash Trob. I know it's sexy to have a 7 foot pf out there but it's very hard for these foreign players to adjust to the physicality and speed of the NBA. This is why their isn't that many great euro players in the league. Will dmo be a rotation player in the NBA? I can almost gaurentee that. With that said I would put my money on Trob being the better player long term because of Ty attributes that he has that no matter what dmo does he will never have.

Dmo can get buckets in the post that's for sure but his defense and rebounding are so bad and these were knocks on his coming out of Europe. I think he can improve but he will never be a top defending rebounding pf. Trob on the other hand is extreamly long athletic runs the floor better and is a much better rebounder and defender.

Are both of these guys for sure Allstar type players? Def not but IMO Trob has a better foundation to be one in this league were strength and athletism is a majors component to being a good player.

I want to give these guys more time because both will get alot better, but reality is that if Trob had a better jumpshot right now he'd be alot better than dmo. That's why I'm saying we need to slow down the expectations of the Lithuanian.

By the way dmo is not that great of a shooter either he misses alot of easy close shots and is not the best free throw shooter either. I'm just a firm believer that its easier to become a good offensive player than it is to become a good rebounder and defender. Those things are instinct and for all trobs faults in the limited minutes he gets he gets his hands on the ball alot be it rebounds steals or just harrassing his man making him work to get the ball.

Damn, HeyPee. Comparing Patrick Patterson to Mo Taylor when it comes to rebounding is a hell of an insult to a recently departed 4 who once wore a Rockets uniform!

    (and pretty darn accurate)

Because Dmo & Trob are a bit clueless still and don;t know the offense nor how we play D. It's really had an negative impact and hopefully they can get up to speed before the playoffs but that's a lot to ask.

Delfino is better at the 4 than DMo or TRob at this TIME. Right now we are just focusing on the playoff push and having too much inexperience at the 4 by the other two are costing us possessions and getting us into foul trouble. Both things that can swing a game in crunch time.

Yes. I am happy patterson and Morris are gone. Was really happy Morey pulled the trigger on those trades.

HOU's defensive rebound % was, and is, ranked among the top 3 in the league so apparently the PFs are boxing out enough to get the team there.

Robinson gets into fight with teammates at practice.

    PPat would never do this.
