I thought Obama greatly distorted the "100 Years In Iraq" thing.

I would like to add that the age descrimination from the Obama camp is embarrassing.

Probably Biden hates it considering he is only 6 years younger than McCain and in much worse shape.

I'm sorry, but if you think that Biden is an idiot, you either haven't watched the debate or the million interviews he's done, or you're too blinded by your republican bias..

this whole "they're all politicians! all idiots" dismissive statement has been very popular lately.. it's inexcusable.. don't give the good ol' "they're all a bunch of liars" argument.. if they don't lie, the stupid people wouldn't vote. When McCain says that he's gonna give everyone a tax cut period, people like to hear that.. they don't know that in reality there's no way a tax decrease is possible in a time where the deficit is of epic proportions. But what can Obama do? just go out and say "um, McCain, I don't think it's possible to lower taxes at this time".? if he did, the dumb people would vote McCain because he said tax cuts! brilliant! as if he's gonna pull money out of his ass and give you tax breaks..

I can't went off topic here, but this is a huge pet peeve of mine. Anyone with a pair of ears and a couple of functional brain cells can figure out that Biden is light years apart from not only Palin, but also the bigboy Maverick, in terms of knowledge in almost every single area..

it all comes down to decision making, Ryan Bowen can be a 20 year veteran and still not be able to hit a shot to save his life, while LeBron James can come in to the league and go insane with his skills.. basketball skill in this instance is analogous to judgement, RYan Bowen's "experience" is analogous to the maverick's experience..

and for the smartass who's talking about Biden not knowing the duty of a VP, when was the last time you read the constitution? I mean, we went over it not a long time ago in High school government/American History you know.. yes, the VP "presides" over the senate session, but does he participate when a vote is on the floor? NOPE.. SHOULD he try to alter the way senators vote, NOPE! HE SHOULDN'T.. and if he does, he's abusing his power..

sorry to break it for ya (the "ya" is pokin fun at palin's Flamboyant demeanor by the way), but the "VP is horrible" argument can only go one way, and here's a hint, it's not against the Joe the 6 term senator..

I think the most embarrassing thing from Obama was the FISA vote.

However that doesn't make me embarrassed to be an Obama supporter.

I would be embarrassed to support any ticket that had Sarah Palin on it. She has no idea the role of a VP, and this is after months of being the VP pick. It is shameful.

I would be embarrassed if the ticket that I supported used the divisive tactics that McCain/Palin have been using.

I could definitely tell! way to go buddy! :D

I commend your attempt at presenting yourself as "one of the majority" then trying to pass your negative B.S to try to sway people to vote for the real guy who you're voting for.. it's a very intelligent strategy.. too bad we actually have memories that are slightly better than that of a goldfish, and thus we are able to remember your positions in the various threads about the vote..

by the way, did I tell you that I'm voting for McCain, but I'm totally embarrassed by the fact that we're running a negative campaign that's entirely based on distorting the truth and linking a U.S senator voted by the people to various terrorists?

I'd like to hear what Obama's ardent supporters think of his speech at AIPAC, particularly the statements concerning the status of Jerusalem, and his subsequent backtracking in the CNN interview the day after.

Nice! Here's the thing- OK, when I first got into watching basketball, I went to a Rockets-Jazz game. Before the game, Mr. Sloan was standing right in front of my seat, so I asked him to autograph my program. Mr. Sloan is not someone I admire, and he will not have any part in my current or future list of people that I admire in basketball. People aren't saying anything about the several times I've met Kenny Smith, nor my autographs from Rudy T. or Dream. All they want to bring up is Sloan.

Well, you can attack my character, but that's not what is important to this board. We've got a real chance for the Rockets to win it all, and I think THAT is what the American people, especially in Houston, want to hear.

And BTW, Gov. Palin, there are no areas that are more Pro-Rockets than others. We are all Rockets fans.

You forgot the part in the OP where I asked the answer the starting question before posing new ones.

I'd like to hear what people think of you after I unveil my long-awaited post assessing the empirical results of your self-declared campaign to "nail" Obama on this message board.

    It's coming....

    I guarantee you he didn't.

The clip that the DNC played and the one everybody brings up I would agree with you, but that wasn't his first time saying that.

I remember watching McCain after one of the primaries and I decided to give the dude a chance.I specifically heard the man say " we will not cower, we will never give up, I don't care if it takes a hundred years". Every since then I have been terrified of the guy.I have no idea, how the media, let him get away, by not pulling the real video up.

The only thing I am embarrassed about is, when Obama supporters go tic for tack stealing McCain signs, but that's about it.

LOL .. does that count as your "Present" vote? Ironically, if Obama hadn't tried to have his cake and eat it, he wouldn't have shot himself in the foot.

Sammy, I enjoyed the primary while it lasted, probably as much as you did with Mike James.

I'm embarassed that this guy may be right.

Alexander Tyler writing in 1787 about the fall of the Athenian Republic.

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

I'm embarrassed for our nation when I hear our Congressmen try to have discussions with Ben Bernanke and Hank Paulson.

I'm embarrassed for John McCain when he mentions "Meg Whitman" when discussing possible Treasury Secretary candidates.

Its embarrassing as one that predominantly votes republican to see them promising the world, buying up of housing and refusing to pass the bailout for political purposes.

Its embarrassing to see all four of the Pres/VP candidates have such a weak understanding of the economy when its the force that allows us to even have the capital to worry about issues like healthcare, housing, jobs and wars. Their answers regarding such issues are just ignorant and weak all the way around.

I'm embarrassed that I almost get teary-eyed watching Mitt Romney speak about these issues while supporting McCain from the outside.
