Yet another mature post by the most ignorant jackass on the board. Welcome to my ignore list, I'm not wasting my time with your mindless drivel any longer.
We are talking Liberal and conservative for american standards, right? Because i think a moderate American would be a conservative in the Netherlands. For Dutch standards I'm Very Liberal.
I am a bitter and cynical pseudo-misanthrope. Not sure how that translates. I hate "neat and tidy" categorizations of the hopelessly complex.
What a coincidence! I am a mega misanthrope pseudo-nihilistic libertarian socialist with strong pragmatic "real world" hyper critical thinking which ensures that I think my political ideals are fantasy and impractical. Not sure what box to check...head hurts.
None of the above. It depends on which psychosis is dominate when you ask; the unbridled Utopian or the misanthropic Dystopian. But the balance of the paradox is pragmatism, you have to look at every issue to decide what is practical, productive and fair; and that always yields something in the gray areas, never in the black and white. And in perpetual disappointment, at the compromises you have to make to accommodate the realities of human nature. You know, I want to give everyone total freedom, a modicum of prosperity and security, but people will just take every chance to work the system, take advantage and generally f#*k up everything for everybody.
I just want to state that I find the results thus far quite interesting. From a lot of the threads and posts I read in here I was always under the impression that the make up of this board was largely liberal. So far it looks like we actually have quite a diverse group of view points. Perhaps people who are liberal tend to post or voice their opinion more. I am not sure but I find the results very interesting since moderates and conservatives seem to be at a close level as liberals so far.
Two more possibilities: - People are lying. - You're often mistaking moderates/conservatives for liberals if they agree to something not-so-rightwing.
I guess I'm pretty moderate but most of all, I'm anti-stupid. For the last decade, the republican party has been nothing but stupid, so I have been voting mostly democrat. However, lately the democrats have been doing some pretty stupid things so I may have to change my course.
